Da ich mich nun für ein Jahr mit Unix-Systemen befassen muss, habe mich nun soeben für einen vServer mit SSH-Root Zugang bei Hostorama entschieden. So als kleine Spielwiese für diverse lustige Experimente… Bringt irgendwie schon noch Vorteile, so ein Server. Nicht nur, dass man sich das Internet mit SSH vorbei am Proxy an den Arbeitsplatz Tunneln kann, sondern auch 14 GB Speicherplatz und eine fette Internetleitung. Der Traffic ist zwar nicht ganz unbegrenzt, aber grosszügig bemessen: 250 GB. Das alles für 80.- ein halbes Jahr lang – da kann man sich wirklich nicht beklagen.
