Es war einmal ein Fuchs, der eine Schildkröte fressen wollte. Doch immer wenn er es versuchte, zog sie sich in ihren Panzer zurück. Er biss und rüttelte, aber er schaffte es nicht. Eines Tages hatte er eine Idee. Er machte der Schildkröte das Angebot, ihr den Panzer abzukaufen. Die Schildkröte aber war schlau: Sie wusste genau, dass sie gefressen werden würde ohne ihren Schutz, und lehnte das Angebot ab. Die Zeit verging, und eines Tages hing ein Fernseher am Baum und zeigte Unmengen glücklich fliegender Schildkröten. Die Schildkröte staunte. Ach, könnte sie auch fliegen! Aber wäre es nicht gefährlich, den Panzer abzulegen? Andererseits hatte der Sprecher im Fernsehen verkündet, der Fuchs sei Vegetarier geworden. «Wenn ich den Panzer ablegen könnte, wäre mein Leben so viel leichter», dachte die Schildkröte. «Wenn sie den Panzer abgeben würde, wäre sie leichter zu fressen», dachte der Fuchs und zahlte für weitere Werbesendungen mit fliegenden Schildkröten. Eines Morgens, als der Himmel grösser und leuchtender schien als sonst, legte die Schildkröte ihren Panzer ab.

Was die Schildkröte nicht verstanden hatte: Der Informationskrieg hat zum Ziel, den Gegner dazu zu verleiten, seinen Schutzschild niederzulegen.

In their popular book Freakonomics, two economists discover that unwanted children are significantly way more prone to become drug addicts, criminals or drop outs. Being wanted seems to be a cornerstone of life. Sociologists claim that it takes at the least three generations to get a war out of the family system. Both my parents have been in a war. They met because of the war, when my father had to flee his home and hid in the farmhouse of my mother’s parents. I have been born, because of a war that doomed so many others. Many of my own family members have fleeing or hiding in the war, some were killed. This has influenced my life in many ways. In my family was a lot of fear. As I small child I was not aware of this. And being a bit more fearful kid than most, I was easy to bully at times. At the same time, because many of my family had been in the resistance, there was a tradition of standing up for believes. And born after the war, I was really wanted. So despite being teased I stayed on my course, one could say stubborn and recalcitrant. Thus two strong traits of my personality were formed even before I was born.

Ungefähr bis zur Mitte des Festivals „hat man ja noch sooo lange Zeit“. Ab dann macht’s schwuppsdiwupps, und nach zwei-dreimal Blinzeln ist er plötzlich da: Der letzte Tag.

Das soll es jetzt also wieder gewesen sein für die nächsten zwei Jahre. Etwas wehleidig stehe ich auf. Ein paar Dinge wären da noch, die sich noch nicht erfüllt haben. Zum Beispiel habe ich keinen Sonnenuntergang mit Eneas neben mir erlebt. Ich hoffe ja nur, dass es wenigstens einen vernünftigen Abschied gibt. Wenn wir einfach aufgetrennt würden, ohne ein Abschiedswort – das wäre so ziemlich das Schlimmste. Vorallem, weil das Boom nur alle zwei Jahre stattfindet.

Wow, was für ein Tag gestern. Vor der Eröffnung des Dance Temple traf ich im Backstage auf Eneas. „It’s starting at 6 o’clock.“ Hmm. 16:50. Lass uns doch noch eine Runde schwimmen! Wir planschten bei der Stelle am nächsten zum Tanztempel mit bei den Blumen im Wasser. „Da schau!“ – bchchchch. Ohja. Die David Copperfield Gebäudesprengungs-Explosionen haben wir früher im Teeglas gemacht, wenn man Milch reinschüttet. Jetzt machen wir das mit unseren Füssen, auf dem schlammigen Untergrund im See. Bchchch, tschsch, päng, bumm. So viel Schlamm wirbeln wir auf, bis das Wasser gänzlich trüb ist. Was für ein weicher Boden! Das Seeufer fällt dort sehr steil ab und es wird ziemlich schnell tief, wie wir gemessen haben. „Like a Staircase.“

Auf diesen Tag gestern hab ich mir eine Extra-Ladung Fleisch vom Argentinier gegönnt. Saftiges, triefendes Fleisch, dass man mit den Zähnen wie feuchtes Papier auseinanderreissen kann, mit einer Extraportion grobkörnigem Salz obendrauf. Yummie!

Gewonnen. Was für ein Tag! Entgegen aller Befürchtungen im Vorfeld habe ich tatsächlich unter 33’333 Leuten meinen kleinen Freund wiedergefunden und bin mit ihm im See geschwommen. Wow. Und das ist erst der Anfang des Festivals. Was für ein Portal! Ich habe es durchschritten. Konnte ich überhaupt anders? „Gibt es Portale, die ich nicht durchschreite?“ frage ich mich beim Einschlafen.

Wie viele andere hat mich der Absturz der Passagiermaschine 4U9525 von Germanwings und der Tod aller ihrer Insassen am Dienstag sehr getroffen und wie viele andere mäanderte ich durch das Netz, auf der Suche nach Informationen, die das Unbegreifliche erklären, nach einer Kausalkette, an deren Ende der Absturz eine unausweichliche Konsequenz ist. Fahrlässigkeit, menschliches Versagen, Materialermüdung, technische Fehler, scheißegal. Hauptsache, irgendetwas erklärt mir, warum Menschen sterben mussten, so viele Menschen. Doch was ich in den Medien fand, waren nicht Informationen und Fakten, sondern Spekulationen, Sensationsgier und eine abgrundtiefe Menschenverachtung.
