Schämen Sie sich, Herr Aebischer. Ihr Verhalten fasst zusammen, was in der (insbesondere Schweizer) IT-Welt alles falsch läuft. Warum immer nur Leute wie Sie an diese leitenden Positionen gelangen, darüber kann ich nur rätseln. Wahrscheinlich weil Menschen mit relevanten Fähigkeiten keine Lust haben ihr Leben lang Geschäftsleitungsstühle in sinnlosen Organisation wie „ICT-Berufsbildung“ zu befurzen?
Auf jeden Fall sollten Sie sich Gedanken machen und Ihr brechreiz-erregendes Verhalten „neu evaluieren“. Ein paar junge Lernende, die eine Sicherheitslücke auf der Seite Ihrer Organisation entdeckt haben, gehören nicht etwa ausgeschlossen, sondern sogar belohnt. Die einzigen, die ausgeschlossen werden müssen, sind Sie und ihre kreiswichsende Geschäftsleitung. Und eigentlich gleich die ganze Organisation, die nichts und rein gar nichts zur positiven Entwicklung der Schweizer IT-Welt beiträgt.

»Unter dem Begriff „Amateurfunkdienst“ ist ein technisch-experimenteller Funkdienst, der die Verwendung von Erd- und Weltraumfunkstellen einschließt und der von Funkamateuren für die eigene Ausbildung, für den Verkehr der Funkamateure untereinander, insbesondere zur Durchführung von Not- und Katastrophenfunkverkehr, und für technische Studien betrieben wird, zu verstehen.«

Wenn alle Telefone tot sind, das Internet ausfällt und nichts mehr geht; dann bleibt nur noch eine Möglichkeit, wie Menschen über weite Entfernungen in Kontakt bleiben können: Amateurfunk. Immer wieder bin ich daraufgestossen, immer wieder hat mich die Amateurfunkprüfung mit ihren Formeln und Elektrotechnik abgeschreckt. Bis im letzten Hackerfunk Podcast das Thema nochmals aufgegriffen wurde.

Der Amateurfunk ist ein weltumspannender Funkdienst und ignoriert Unterschiede in der Rasse, dem Stand und in der politischen Weltanschauung. Er trägt daher viel zur Völkerverständigung bei.

Ein direkter Kontakt zu Menschen aus aller Welt und in Krisengebieten, ohne Vermittler, Provider oder Nachrichtensprecher dazwischen? Kulturüberbrückende Kommunikation, welche die Ländergrenzen aufhebt und uns wieder als Menschheit wahrnehmen lässt? Spätestens jetzt blinkt bei mir ein grünes Lämpchen.

Wenn man auf truecrypt.org wechselt, wird man umgeleitet auf eine Sourceforge-Seite, auf der steht:

„TrueCrypt seit nicht mehr sicher. Bitte verschiebe deine verschlüsselten Daten zu Microsoft® ShitLocker™“

Jaja genau, ihr mich auch.

Immer muss man alles selber machen. Ich habe mir natürlich schon lange vorher alle TrueCrypt-Versionen auf meine Festplatte raubmordkopiert, so dass wir auch zukünftig unsere Festplatten anständig verschlüsseln können: truecrypt.scratchbook.ch

Das erinnert mich an Lavabit. Wenn sowas dichtgemacht wird, dann funktioniert es.

Ich habe 8-jährige mit einem iPhone und Facebook gesehen. Sie wissen gar nicht mehr, wie die Welt ohne funktioniert.

Aber der Rest der Welt? Soweit ich weiss, gibt es kein Gesetz, das die dauerhafte und unabhängige Kommunikation sicherstellt. Sowas wie ein Menschenrecht auf Internet. Und das ist gefährlich. Die Regierungen können da beliebig eingreifen, filtern, zensieren, abschalten, löschen. In einem Netz, wo Informationen über Leben und Tod entscheiden. Ein Netz, das Menschen helfen kann, sich zu informieren. Ein Netz, an dem lebenserhaltende Systeme hängen. Nicht gut.

Wir sind zu stark abhängig.

Ein Fehler in der Verschlüsselungssoftware OpenSSL gefährdet viele bisher als sicher angesehene Verbindungen im Internet. „Heartbleed“ haben ihn seine Entdecker getauft.

Es ist so etwas wie der GAU für die Sicherheit von Verschlüsselungen im Netz. Sicherheitsforscher haben in der weit verbreiteten Software OpenSSL einen Fehler entdeckt, der Server dazu bringen kann, ihr größtes Geheimnis preiszugeben: Den privaten Schlüssel. Betroffen davon ist ein großer Teil der Server im Netz, aber auch eine unüberschaubare Zahl von anderen Anwendungen. Was Experten und Systemadministratoren gerade in Schnappatmung versetzt, geht deshalb auch ganz normale Internetnutzer an.

Die Digitale Gesellschaft erhebt Beschwerde gegen Vorratsdatenspeicherung.

Ich bin eigentlich ganz froh, dass es sowas wie die Vorratsdatenspeicherung und Überwachung gibt, und die Leute darüber informiert werden. Denn: Je mehr das Internet kaputt geht, desto grösser ist die Chance, dass die Leute sich nach Alternativen wie zum Beispiel unserem verschlüsselten Netzwerk umsehen.
