Zeitgenosse: Wenn du gar keine Medien benutzt, wie kannst du denn informiert sein?

Nachtwächter: Es ist nicht so, dass ich gar keine Medien benutze. Ich benutze nur nicht die zentral organisierten Massenmedien, um mich aus ihnen zu informieren. Glaubst du wirklich, dass du informierter bist, Bruder?

Zeitgenosse: Aber ja, ich höre jeden Tag die Nachrichten?

Nachtwächter: Und nach denen richtest du dich, ist schon klar! Weißt du noch, welches politische Thema letztes Jahr im Sommer die größte mediale Aufmerksamkeit hatte?

Zeitgenosse: Nein, aber das wird doch jetzt auch nicht mehr aktuell sein und ist damit unwichtig.

Nachtwächter: Gut, denn sage ich es dir, Bruder. Es war das Thema “Feinstaub”, und das ist in diesem Jahr genau so aktuell wie im letzten Jahr, da sich an der Situation gar nichts verändert hat. Es ist nur nicht mehr aktuell in den zentral organisierten Massenmedien, sehr wohl aber ists aktuell in den ungezählten Lungen derer, die an Krebs erkranken oder unter Asthma leiden. Das Thema wurde im letzten Jahr benutzt, um die politische Show aufzuführen, die unter den Bedingungen der zentral organisierten Massenmedien zum Ersatz für das politische Ringen um eine menschengerechte Gesellschaft geworden ist. Wer sich seine Informationen nicht selbst — und zwar am Maßstab der ganz persönlichen Wichtigkeit — auswählt, der lehnt sich zu leicht im heiteren Infotainment zurück, verwechselt eine tägliche Show der Content-Industrie mit der leider sehr wirksamen Wirklichkeit und fühlt sich dabei informiert und politisch, während er entpolitisiert wird. Die zentral organisierten Massenmedien sind ein nützlich gemachtes Vehikel zur Entpolitisierung der Massen.

Zeitgenosse: Aber die Presse ist doch nicht zentral organisiert, es gibt so viele voneinander unabhängige Zeitungen.

Nachtwächter: Aber wenn du genau hinschaust und des Öfteren verschiedene Zeitschriften miteinander vergleichst, wirst du feststellen, dass die Themenwahl identisch ist, ja, das oft sogar die Texte der Artikel übereinstimmen. Das liegt daran, dass klassischer Journalismus kaum noch Platz im hastigen Betrieb um quicke news hat, und so werden die Meldungen einiger weniger, großer Agenturen direkt in die Presseerzeugnisse übernommen. Unter diesen Bedingungen ist in einer an sich dezentralen Situation wiederum eine zentral organisierte Struktur entstanden; die scheinbare Vielfalt entpuppt sich beim Hinschauen als Einfalt.

Zeitgenosse: Aber gibt es in den Massenmedien gar nichts Interessantes für dich zu lesen? Gibt es gar keine Information darin, die für dein Leben wichtig und bedeutsam ist, die dich zum Nachdenken und zum Handeln bringt?

Das Schlüsselelement zur Kontrolle der Gesellschaft ist es, die Aufmerksamkeit der Öffentlichkeit auf unwesentliche Ereignisse umzulenken, um sie von wichtigen Informationen über tatsächliche Änderungen durch die politischen und wirtschaftlichen Führungsorgane abzulenken. Jene Strategie ist der Grundstein, der das Basisinteresse an den Bereichen Bildung, Wirtschaft, Psychologie, Neurobiologie und Kybernetik verhindert. Somit kehrt die öffentliche Meinung dem wirklichen gesellschaftlichen Problemen den Rücken zu, berieselt und abgelenkt durch unwichtige Angelegenheiten. Schaffe es, dass die Gesellschaft beschäftigt ist, beschäftige sie, beschäftige sie so, damit sie keine Zeit hat über etwas nachzudenken, entsprechend dem Level eines Tieres.

2. Erzeuge Probleme und liefere die Lösung

Verschiebe die Grenzen von Änderungen stufenweise, Schritt für Schritt, Jahr für Jahr. Auf diese Weise setzte man in den Jahren 1980 und 1990 die neuen radikalen sozio-ökonomischen Vorraussetzungen (Neoliberalismus) durch: Ein Minimum an Zeugnissen, Privatisierung, Unsicherheit, und was der nächste Tag bringt, ist Elastizität, Massenarbeitslosigkeit, Einfluss auf die Höhe der Einkünfte, das Fehlen von Garantie auf gerechte Lohnarbeit.

Ich bin eigentlich ganz froh, dass es sowas wie die Vorratsdatenspeicherung und Überwachung gibt, und die Leute darüber informiert werden. Nehmen wir an, ich will eine Firma gründen. Und nehmen wir an, meine Geschäfte sind ziemlich dreckig, ja sogar gemeingefährlich. Das muss strengstens geheim bleiben. Ich verkaufe es allerdings so, dass die Welt ohne die Existenz meiner Firma nicht funktionieren könne, und dass man meine Firma um jeden Preis schützen muss. Deshalb mache ich ein Abkommen mit dem Bundesrat, und stelle folgende Forderungen auf:

Rechtsstellung, Vorrechte und Immunitäten der Firma

Handlungsfreiheit der Firma

1. Der Schweizerische Bundesrat gewährleistet der Firma die ihr als internationale Organisation zustehende Unabhängigkeit und Handlungsfreiheit.
2. Insbesondere erkennt er der Firma die uneingeschränkte Versammlungsfreiheit, einschliesslich der Rede- und Beschlussfreiheit, zu.

Unverletzbarkeit

1. Die Gebäude oder Gebäudeteile und das anliegende Gelände, die, wer immer ihr Eigentümer ist, für die Zwecke der Firma benützt werden, sind unverletzbar. Kein Vertreter schweizerischer Behörden darf sie ohne ausdrückliche Zustimmung der Firma betreten. Nur der Präsident, der Generaldirektor der Firma oder ihr gehörig ermächtigter Stellvertreter sind befugt, auf diese Unverletzlichkeit zu verzichten.
2. Die Archive der Firma und ganz allgemein alle Dokumente sind jederzeit und wo immer sie sich befinden, unverletzbar.
3. Die Firma übt die Aufsicht und polizeiliche Kontrolle in ihren Räumlichkeiten aus.

Befreiung von der Gerichtsbarkeit und von Massnahmen der Vollstreckung

Die Firma geniesst Befreiung von jeglicher Gerichtsbarkeit.

Zum dreißigsten Mal lädt der Chaos Computer Club (CCC) zum jährlichen internationalen Hackertreffen. Vom 27. bis 30. Dezember 2013 wird der Chaos Communication Congress (30C3) in Hamburg stattfinden. Wir heißen alle Interessierten willkommen!

Das Programm – bestehend aus über 130 Vorträgen – des 30C3 wurde dieses Jahr erstmalig von mehreren Experten-Teams, die jeweils für einen inhaltlichen Schwerpunkt verantwortlich waren, aus mehr als 360 Einreichungen ausgewählt: Hardware & Making, Art & Beauty, Science & Engineering, Security & Safety sowie Politics, Ethics & Society. Zusätzlich konnte eine Reihe von weiteren hochkarätigen Referenten eingeladen werden. Wie in den letzten Jahren werden Video-Streams der Vorträge angeboten. Ergänzt wird das Programm durch Workshop- und Junghacker-Angebote, welche im Vergleich zum Vorjahr noch stärker in den Fokus der Veranstaltung rücken.

Ein inhaltlicher Schwerpunkt liegt auf Fragen der Sicherheit von Hard- und Software. Einen besonderen Stellenwert im Programm haben in diesem Jahr natürlich auch die Enthüllungen von Edward Snowden und die dadurch bekanntgewordenen Überwachungsmaßnahmen der Geheimdienste und ihrer Lakaien, sowie Gegenmaßnahmen.

Die Keynote des 30C3 am Abend des 27. Dezember wird der Journalist Glenn Greenwald halten, dessen Arbeit mit den Snowden-Dokumenten es ganz wesentlich zu verdanken ist, daß wir im Jahr 2013 weitaus mehr als je zuvor über die weltumspannenden Überwachungsnetzwerke, die Techniken und die Denkweise der Überwacher erfahren haben.

Zusätzlich zum umfangreichen Vortrag- und Workshop-Programm wird auf dem 30C3 eine Vielzahl von teils spektakulären Hacking- und Kunstprojekten stattfinden. Zahlreiche Open-Source-Projekte nutzen den Congress für Treffen ihrer Mitstreiter und um neue Kontakte zu knüpfen. Zur Entspannung nach den inhaltlich dichten Tagen wird die 30C3-Lounge nachts von namhaften DJs und Musikern beschallt.

Die Internet-Außenanbindung des 30C3 wird dieses Jahr erstmalig die Rekordbandbreite von 100 GBit erreichen, die mit Hilfe von Sachspenden von Internetanbietern und Netzwerkausrüstern realisiert wird. Der 30C3 ist eine nicht-kommerzielle Veranstaltung, die von Freiwilligen des CCC organisiert und durchgeführt wird – auch um den Eintrittspreis so niedrig wie möglich zu halten. Der G-Man hat mich über das Thema im Jahr 2014 unterrichtet:

Gaining Momentum.

Ich weiss nicht so recht, was ich davon halten soll. Das Thema macht mich unsicher. Und ich hoffe doch wirklich, dass der G-Man weiterhin einen Plan hat, was er da mit mir anstellen will. Ob er mich an den Felsen der Hungersnot und Armut zerschellen lässt, auf die ich immer schneller zurase? Eigentlich sollte ich es ja wissen. Aber trotzdem. Vor mir liegt wieder so eine schwarze Klippe, und ich habe keine Ahnung, was da kommen mag. Aaargh.

Im kommenden Jahr findet wieder das Boom Festival statt. Dieses mal habe ich mich als Engel im Kosmicare beworben. Mal schauen, was daraus wird.
