Heute am Postomat: Der Kontostand wird nicht angezeigt. Euro und CHF kann ich noch beziehen, allerdings nur maximal 300.-, wie auf der Seite angezeigt wird. „Naja, eigentlich wollte ich 400.- abheben – gehen wir mal an den Schalter.“
„Gärn 400.- abhebe?“
„Es geht gar nichts mehr. Nicht mal bei der Migros funktioniert es, und wir kommen nicht mal mehr ins Internet, um zu schauen, wie lange die Störung noch dauert.“

Ich muss lachen. Finanzplatz Schweiz. Nachrichtendienst. Sicherung der kritischen Infrastrukturen. Da sieht man sehr schön, wie abhängig wir von dem Scheiss sind. Doch meine Gedanken kreisen weiter. Wie gut sind die Finanzdaten geschützt? Ich stelle mir vor, wie der Abteilungsleiter jetzt wie ein Säbelzahntiger neben dem Java Solution Architekten sitzt, der verzweifelt versucht, die korrupten Daten wiederherzustellen. „Vorher gehst du mir nicht nach Hause, verstanden?“ Dätscht sein Scheff los. Die beiden werden immer kleiner und blasser. „Alle Transaktionen und Konten gelöscht. Tja. Das wars dann wohl mit uns.“ Wäre das schlimm? Ich hatte ein paar Hundert Franken auf dem Konto. Es betrifft schliesslich uns alle, und wir alle müssen jetzt Einsicht, Verständnis und Mitgefühl füreinander haben…
Wirklich, was wäre, wenn all das „Geld“ plötzlich einfach weg wäre? Würden die Leute das akzeptieren? Würden sie damit Leben? Wären wir nicht besser dran, würden wir ein von Finanzinstituten unabhängiges, dezentrales Kryptozahlungsmittel verwenden?

Lustig. „Top Online“ beginnt mit einem fadenscheinigen Artikel, bei dem „offenbar“ bereits in der URL drin vorkommt: http://www.toponline.ch/schweiz/detail/art/postfinance-ist-offenbar-down-001730628/ und berichtet darüber, dass die Postcard eingezogen wird. Ein Reporter, eine Quelle hat das berichtet. Ich bin gerade zurück vom Postomat mit meinen 300.- UND mit meiner Postcard. Hat alles einwandfrei geklappt.
Sollte man nicht mehrere Quellen (mindestens zwei) verwenden, um eine Aussage zu prüfen?
FM1 offenbart nach: „es werde offenbar die Postcard eingezogen. Telefonleitungen sind offenbar offline.
Offenbar offensichtlich hat FM1 offenbar keine Journalisten, die ihren Beruf ernstnehmen.
Jetzt kommt der Blick.
„Postomat zieht Karte ein“ steht da in roten Lettern über der Überschrift. „Die Postcard wird eingezogen, wenn man Geld beziehen will“ steht im fettgedruckten Einleitungstext. Ganz ohne „offenbar“ und Konjunktiv. Weiter unten steht dann, dass der FM1 das berichtet hat, „wir sind doch unschuldig!“ will sich der Blick damit rauswinden. Erst im zweiten Absatz (da hat der busengeiferige Durchschnittsbünzli aber schon längst abgeschaltet) kommt dann die offizielle Ansage vom Postfinance-Sprecher, dass er das nicht bestätigen kann, dass die Postcard eingezogen wird.
Und am Stammtisch? „DIE POSTCARD WIRD EINGEZOGEN!!1!“ – Es bleibt nur das hängen.
Ich habs ja selber erlebt. Die Postcard wird nicht eingezogen, ein Bargeldbezug bis 300.- war möglich. Und jetzt so ein Telefonspieli in allen Zeitungen… Die hätten es alle selber kurz überprüfen können, indem sie einfach an den nächsten Postomat gegangen wären. Aber nein, die Realität ist überbewertet! Wir verlassen uns lieber auf „offizielle“ Meldungen von offiziellen Mediensprechern. Offenbar.
Ein paar Deziminuten später hat der Blick seinen Artikel überarbeitet, ohne die Versionsgeschichte offenzulegen. Die Postcard wird jetzt nicht mehr im Einleitungstext eingezogen, sondern das hat nur noch FM1 erwähnt und der Sprecher kann das weiterhin nicht bestätigen. Und wie immer arbeite man mit „Hochdruck“ daran, das Problem zu beheben. Die ganzen Senior Solutions SAP-Arschitekten und Java Enterprise Engineering Hudigäggeler. Es wundert mich gar nicht, wenn dieser Schrott ausfällt.
Ein anschauliches Beispiel, wie die Medien voneinander abschreiben, Aussagen ungeprüft übernehmen, Änderungen und Versionen überhaupt nicht anzeigen. Und von solchen Dingern wollen wir uns „informiert“ fühlen?

Menschheit im 21. Jahrhundert. Ein waschechtes Schminktussi wendet sich via Twitter an die Post. Das Profil ist vollgestopft mit Emoticons, es dreht sich um Schminken und um Konsum. Sie fällt aus allen Wolken: „Ich han kein Rappe Bargeld debi nd bin völlig ufgschmisse“.
Bingo.
Du bist völlig abhängig von den Banken und noch schlimmer, von diesen Plastikkärtchen, dem Internet und den elektronischen Zahlungssystemen. Und von deinem Smartphone, von dem du diese Nachricht offenbar abgesetzt hast, denn sonst wäre das „u“ beim „und bin völlig ufgschmisse“ nicht auch noch ausgefallen. Du hast dich in die völlige Abhängigkeit manöveriert. Ich hoffe, der Aufprall ist gross genug, dass du künftig wieder Bargeld mit dir tragen wirst und dich bei Abstimmungen und Wahlen dafür einsetzt, dass das Bargeld bestehen bleibt.
Ich hab nachgesehen. Mein Hunderternötli ist immer noch blau. Es funktioniert noch genau so gut, auch wenn das Gelbe taucht. Bargeld überdauert jeden Ausfall.
