Ich laufe zum Strand der Healing-Area und sehe dort eine Gruppe Menschen versammelt. Eine Reihe von Schamanen stehen im Halbkreis am See und beten. Die Klänge von Trommeln, Glocken und Rasseln durchdringen die Luft. Dann begeben sich alle hoch zu einer Anhöhe mit Lautsprechern, und jeder Schamane trägt nochmals ein Gebet vor. Aus aller Welt sind sie angereist -- aus Australien (Aborigines), Indien, Mexiko, Alaska (Eskimo), dem Amazonas-Regenwald, Afrika und Wales (Kelten).
„Das ist Mutter Erde. Und wir sind alle Einheimisch auf diesem Planeten. Egal von woher wir kommen. Egal, wie lange wir das schon vergessen haben. Wir sind alle Einheimisch. Aho!“
Nach der Zeremonie pilgern wir alle am Strand entlang zur Insel, wo das Sacred Fire darauf wartet, entzündet zu werden.
Das Feuer
Du brauchst keinen spezielles spirituelles Training, um die unwiderstehliche hypnotische Energie wahrzunehmen, die vom Feuer ausgeht. Sieh einfach nur in das lodernde Herz eines Lagerfeuers… Voila! Es überrascht nicht, dass Feuer stets eine zentrale Rolle der menschlichen Kultur gespielt hat. Als ein Platz, um Nahrung zu teilen, Lieder zu singen und Geschichten zu erzählen, und als wichtiger Teil von Zeremonien und Ritualen überall in der Welt. Natürlich ist es auch für unsere Zusammenkunft ebenso zentral.
Das Feuer hier am Boom ist von der keltischen „coelcerdd“-Tradition inspiriert. Es ist ein altes Ritual, wo Bündelfeuer entzündet werden, um Tiere darin zu segnen, wo sich Menschen herum versammeln und tanzen. Eine Aufzeichnung von Wales berichtet von einer Tradition, diese Feuer mit Holz von verschiedenen heiligen Bäumen zu entzünden. Hier am Boom Festival haben wir coelcerdd mit einem internationalen Hauch versehen. Weisheitsbewahrer aus aller Welt von verschiedenen Traditionen bringen ihr heiliges Holz mit. Zur Ehre des Mondes, des femininen Abschnitts der dreizehn Monde eines Jahres werden wir dreizehn Hölzer auswählen. Wir werden sie kreuzweise anordnen und mit einer Linse die lebensspendende Energie der Sonne bündeln, um dieses heilige Feuer zu entzünden.
Jeder der anwesenden Schamanen hat sein heiliges Holz mitgebracht. Eichenholz kommt am meisten vor. Jeder erzählt kurz, was dieses Holz in seiner Tradition bedeutet.
„Ein Feuer wird entzündet. Vorfahren versammeln sich. Wir alle haben Vorfahren. Sie stehen hinter uns, hinter uns, hinter uns, und hinter uns. Lass dieses Feuer eine Erinnerung daran sein, dass -- egal was passiert -- was auch immer du in dieser Welt oder in der anderen Welt hier am Boom erfährst -- deine Vorfahren werden da sein. Um dich zu leiten und dir zu helfen, so sehr wie die gegenseitige Liebe. Ich werde jetzt Salvador auffordern, dieses Feuer mit dem Licht der Sonne zu entzünden.“
Trommeln setzen ein. Rasseln und Glocken. Die Menge fängt an zu singen. Immer schneller, immer lauter. Der Feuermann hat es schwer, mit der Lupe eine Flamme zu entfachen. Es dauert. Wir singen und klatschen im Rhythmus. Noch schneller. Da, eine Rauchsäule! Die Menge jubelt. Nach fünf Minuten hilft Isis, die Feuermeisterin, mit Kohlen aus ihrer Weihrauchschale nach. Der Rauch nimmt zu. Mehr Spähne, mehr Zunder, mehr Kleinholz. Da, die Flammen! Tosender Beifall. Hurra! Das Heilige Feuer ist entzündet!
