Ungefähr bis zur Mitte des Festivals „hat man ja noch sooo lange Zeit“. Ab dann macht’s schwuppsdiwupps, und nach zwei-dreimal Blinzeln ist er plötzlich da: Der letzte Tag.
Das soll es jetzt also wieder gewesen sein für die nächsten zwei Jahre. Etwas wehleidig stehe ich auf. Ein paar Dinge wären da noch, die sich noch nicht erfüllt haben. Zum Beispiel habe ich keinen Sonnenuntergang mit Eneas neben mir erlebt. Ich hoffe ja nur, dass es wenigstens einen vernünftigen Abschied gibt. Wenn wir einfach aufgetrennt würden, ohne ein Abschiedswort -- das wäre so ziemlich das Schlimmste. Vorallem, weil das Boom nur alle zwei Jahre stattfindet.
Ich ziehe los in Richtung Chaistand. Gilli und Lex sind auch da, sie bereitet gerade ihre Abschlussrede vor und sucht nach Inspiration. „Heute das letzte mal schwimmen?“ „Ja, aber ich warte noch auf Leon aus der Liminal Village. Hab’s ihm versprochen…“ Gut.
Ich verlasse diesen Platz nicht. Zu klar ist die Erinnerung an die unfreiwillige Trennung am Boom damals, die einen Horrortrip ausgelöst hat. Das hatten wir schon mal, ich riskiere das nicht.
Es wird Nachmittag. Die Sonne sinkt und sinkt, und mit ihr meine Stimmung. Wann kommt denn dieser Leon? Alle Anzeichen deuten darauf hin, dass das gestern wohl schon das letzte Mal gemeinsames schwimmen war. Seufz. Gut, immerhin; zu kurz kam ich ja nicht, über die gesamte Festivalzeit gesehen. „What am I doing?“ fragt mich Eneas. Er hat seine Decke über sich gezogen. „Du bewegst…deine Hände?“ „Nein.“ „Deine Füsse?“ „Nein.“ „Deine Zehen?“ „Nope.“ „Deinen Mund?“ „Fast. Du bist nah dran.“ „Deine Augen?“ „Ja!“ Wir spielen das Spiel noch eine Weile. Meine Hoffnung auf ein letztes Mal schwimmen ist inzwischen gänzlich verflogen.
Dann taucht Lex auf. „You are coming with me, you little interesting creature!“ sagt sie zu ihm, während er ihre Federn umgeschnallt hat. „Wann seid ihr zurück, wo treffen wir uns?“ „Wir werden zurück sein. Hier.“ „Ok. Wann?“ frage ich besorgt, während es im Hinterkopf immer noch ‚Der letzte Tag‘ und ‚Abschied‘ und ’nicht verpassen‘ pocht.
„Hour and a half!“
Gut. 17:00 Uhr. Dann habe ich Zeit bis 18:30. Hier warten? Nee. Es scheint, als hätte ich es eh nicht unter Kontrolle, wann und wie ich Eneas sehe oder mich verabschiede. Ich entscheide mich, meinen Abschiedsschwumm alleine zu machen und laufe los.
Voller Lehm auf eine Abschiedstour
Oh, was ist das? Oben am Weg ist eine Lehmgrube. Der Mud Xperience Stage. Dort kann man sich mit Schlamm einkleistern, für Kühlung, Fun und Profit.
Ja, das hatte ich mir noch gewünscht, sich einmal mit Schlamm einreiben. Jetzt ist die Gelegenheit. Es ist der letzte Tag, und wenn nicht jetzt, dann wohl gar nicht mehr.
Ich kleistere mich voll. Der Lehm ist kühl, doch es gibt auch Stellen, die von der Sonne beschienen und dementsprechend warm sind. Sandkörner im Lehm sorgen für einen Peelingeffekt. Woah. Die Erde fühlen. Ich lasse meine Sorgen um einen sauberen Abschied mal links liegen und geniesse es. Schliesslich sind sie in einer Stunde zurück, nicht wahr? Jetzt ist meine kleine Abschiedszeit.
Ich lege mich an die Sonne ins Stroh. Der Lehm trocknet, und sobald ich irgend ein Gelenk biege, spüre ich den eingetrockneten, harten Lehm. Unter dieser Schicht herrscht Zimmertemperatur. Voll angenehm. Wieso macht man das nicht öfter? Ich meine so generell. Die könnten doch überall in den Städten solche Schlammlöcher aufstellen. Dann würden die Hetis und Pletis endlich aufhören, über die Hitze zu meckern. Ah, fast vergessen: Die Hetis und Pletis würden sich doch nie mit Dreck beschmieren… Lieber die Klimaanlage auf siebentausend Grad Minus laufen lassen.
So. Genug getrocknet. Bevor die Sonne weg ist, möchte ich noch eine Runde schwimmen. Ob der Schlamm sich wohl gut ablöst? Ich tauche ein und ziehe eine orange Unterwasserstaubwolke hinter mir her. Kicher. Der Lehm löst sich in Nullkommanix. So angenehm, wenn ich über den grobkörnigen Arm fahre, wie er plötzlich wieder weich und glatt wird. Noch ein Mal tauchen.
Reicht es wohl noch für eine kurze Abschiedstour am Strand entlang? Vierzig Minuten. Zwanzig hin, zwanzig zurück, das sollte hinhauen. Ich schlendere mit den Füssen im Wasser am Strand entlang. Hier sind die Blumen, wo wir so oft geschwommen sind. Unser Wasserspielplatz. Da ist die Insel mit dem Sacred Fire. Dort vorne im Wasser haben wir das erste Mal das Ertrinken-rette-mich Spiel gespielt. Ich wate weiter. Hier ist die Stelle, wo ich Eneas zum ersten Mal wiedergesehen habe. Wo sich der Dust-Devil über dem Chillout-Stage gebildet hat. Was wäre wohl passiert, wenn ich ihn nicht angesprochen hätte? Ich wills gar nicht wissen… Hier ist die Stelle, wo mir Rob und seine Familie die Lachgasballons gezeigt haben. Überall auf dem Gelände kleben kleine Geschichten und Erinnerungen. Und hier in dieser Bucht haben wir gestern Fangis gespielt und uns ziemlich heftig angespritzt. Der Imperial Walker. Mission Impossible unter Wasser.
Ein Wuselbild aus Menschen
Aus der Ferne sehe ich einen Kran. Oh, was ist das? Die machen bestimmt ein Wuselbild aus Menschen! Da muss ich hin. Das muss jetzt einfach noch sein! Die Zeit reicht noch.
Ich komme auf der Wiese an. Hundertscharen von Menschen sitzen bereits da, haben sich zu den Steinformationen gesetzt, die das Bild abstecken. Es wird ein Schamane, gebildet aus Menschen, gefilmt von einer Drohne aus der Luft. Und was ist das? Mitten im Gewusel entdecke ich ein paar schwarze Federn auf einem Kopf. Lex! Tja, dann muss ich ja nicht pressieren, wenn die beiden auch hier sind. Dann werden sie wohl kaum in „Hour and a half“ beim Chaistand zurück sein. Gar nicht auszudenken, wenn ich bis jetzt dort ausgeharrt und auf sie gewartet hätte!
„Have you seen my son?“ Eneas hat sich vom Treffpunkt entfernt. „Er macht das manchmal.“ Ja, er geht mit dem Fluss, lebt im Moment und hat keine grossen Terminpläne. Auch scheint er sich nie um irgendwas Sorgen zu machen. Er ist so ein Vorbild für mich. Aber Lex ärgert das grad ein wenig. Ah, dort ist er ja.
Ich lege mich hin. „Hier brauchen wir noch etwa zehn Leute! Das wird das Auge des Schamanen. Ich brauche noch drei Leute, kann ich noch drei weitere Leute haben?“ der Koordinator rennt umher, überprüft und optimiert das Bild. Die Drohne surrt über unsere Köpfen hoch oben in der Luft.
„Ok, auf eure Plätze! Die Drohne filmt. Wir haben noch 8 Minuten Akku, haltet still! Sie macht immer noch Fotos.“ Ich liege da. Meine Füsse und mein Kopf sind an Menschen angeschlossen, wir sind alle Teil von etwas grösserem. Ich bin gespannt, was das für ein Bild wird…
„Ok, fertig, vielen Dank!“ Jubel bricht aus. In der Mitte formt sich eine grosse Gruppenumarmung, und noch ein letztes Mal winken wir alle der Drohne zu, die uns filmt, während sie immer höher in den Himmel steigt.
Das grosse Finale
„Wir gehen noch kurz was einkaufen. Treffen wir uns später hier?“ „Klar.“ „Ok, dann bis gleich!“
Und so zotteln sie davon. Ich muss aufs Klo. Ob sie wohl wirklich wieder hier herkommen? Ich meine, „hour and a half“ beim Chaistand hat ja auch nicht stattgefunden. Kommt immer etwas dazwischen?
Die Kompostschissi ist optimistisch. „Sei dich selbst“ oder „Wunderschön“ -- je nach dem, wie man es interpretiert.
Zurück zum Strand. Oh, Eneas und Lex sind auch wieder da; sie scheinen nach mir zu suchen… YES. Jetzt kommt alles gut. Ich nähere mich den beiden. *Wink* Die Landschaft ist in ein wunderschönes Abendlicht getaucht. „Wow, what a beautiful ending of this boom.“ sage ich, als ich auf die beiden zulaufe. „Eneas, wir werden noch einige Sonnenuntergänge zusammen erleben. Ich muss zum Alchemy Stage für die Abschlussrede.“ Lex lässt ihn mit mir zusammen meinen letzten Sonnenuntergang geniessen. Bevor ich mich von ihr verabschiede, habe ich noch ein Geschenk für sie. Die Juwelen. „Pick one.“ „Wow. Ich habe auch etwas für dich“, sagt sie und hält mir eine Münze hin.
„Tu‘ etwas Gutes für einen Fremden und gib diese Münze weiter.“
Dass so eine Idee aus den Niederlanden kommt, verwundert mich wenig. Ich mag diese Leute.
„Now. Eneas is already in the water.“ „Ok, dann muss ich mich wohl beeilen. Bis zum nächsten Mal!“ und wir verabschieden uns mit einer langen Umarmung.
Wow. Was für eine Szene. Ich meine: WAS FÜR EINE SZENE!!! Diese Abendstimmung. Mein Treffen auf die beiden, der Abschied, und dann: Eneas wartet auf mich im Wasser. Die Engelsharfen fangen an zu spielen.
Die Schönheit dieser Sequenz, die Ästhetik. Das ist so perfekt. Alles stimmt. Mir kommt es fast schon surreal vor.
Ich gehe zu ihm. „Ist das Stativ wasserdicht? Ich will filmen!“ ruft er mir zu. Habs noch nie im Wasser probiert und das ist mir jetzt auch ziemlich egal. Das Ding kommt mit!
„Hier. Ich halte es, damit es nicht kippt. Ich will den Sonnenuntergang filmen.“ Oh mein Gott oh meine Güte. Was trifft hier für ein kombiniertes Muster ein? Wunscherfüllung hoch siebenunddreissig. Sonnenuntergang mit Eneas. Im Wasser. Mit Kamera zeigen und filmen. Und einer Menge rumblödeln und Spass!
„Fang an zu schreien“, fordert er mich auf. „Was? Wieso? Jetzt schon? Die Sonne ist erst halb untergegangen.“ „Egal, machs trotzdem. Manche Leute jubeln schon früher.“ und sogleich legt er mit Indianergeheul los, ich stimme mit ein. Und tatsächlich, eine grosse Jubelwelle breitet sich am Strand aus. „Hell yeah, we did it!“ „It worked!“ Waah. Wir haben eine Jubelwelle initiiert! Die Sequenz wandelt sich von wunderschön hoch siebenunddreissig zu obermegageil hoch viermillionen!
Eneas blödelt vor der Kamera rum, macht Tai-chi-Bewegungen. Das passt wunderbar, da mache ich auch mit! Und während wir hier vor der Kamera das Kalb machen, gibt der Horizont hinter uns den Blick auf den Vollmond frei. Die Sonne geht unter, der Vollmond taucht auf. Wie eine Waage. Die Sequenz wandelt sich von obermegageil hoch viermillionen zu absolut hüperkrass-epochal neundreiviertelultramegawunderschön hoch Googolplexplexplex-Milliarden! Ich bin hin und weg!
Was für ein Abschluss! Was für ein Abschluss!
Meine Schutzengel hauen mich manchmal echt aus den Socken. Besser hätte man das nicht hinkriegen können!
Nervenkitzel zum Schluss
„Let’s go to the Alchemy circle, my mom is closing it.“ Lex schliesst nach und nach alle Stages. „I’ll be at the laserguy until my mom closes the dance temple.“ Es dunkelt ein. Das Essen verschiebe ich auf später, zu gross das Risiko, von Eneas getrennt zu werden und sich nicht mehr verabschieden können. Das wäre das Schlimmste. Wenn das passieren würde, dann schreibe ich keinen einzigen Blogpost und leugne, dass ich überhaupt jemals an diesem Festival war. Ziemlich düster sind meine Ängste und fiktiven Horrorgeschichten. Aber ich weiss noch zu genau, wie sich das anfühlt, als ich von Jack getrennt wurde… Besonders im Nachhinein spürt man ein „hätte ich doch“ und „wäre ich bloss“. Sowas muss echt nicht mehr sein und deswegen lasse ich Eneas nun nicht mehr aus den Augen.
Wir holen uns eine Pizza beim Tanztempel und gehen dann zurück zu Ivan.
„Ich geh‘ zur Liminal, mich mit meiner Mutter absprechen für’s Finale. Bin gleich zurück!“ „Ok.“
Wenig später erhält Ivan ein SMS. „Kannst du es mir vorlesen, ich hab meine Brille nicht dabei.“ Ja klar.
„Hi Ivan! I’m going with my mom. Could you tell clothe that I am in backstage at the dance tempel.“
…lese ich laut vor. Ivan murmelt irgendwas, tönt nach einer Schlussfolgerung. Ich hab’s erst gar nicht begriffen, hab mir gar nicht zugehört. Plötzlich realisiere ich es. „Oh mein Gott, Moment -- war das eben ein SMS von Lex? Dann muss Eneas das geschrieben haben, und mit „clothe“ bin wohl ich gemeint!“ Scheisse. Jetzt muss ich aber los! „Wait, could you stay here for just one minute? I have to check with my brother.“ Ivan’s Bruder verkauft 50 Meter weiter auch Laser und irgendwas scheint nicht in Ordnung. Oh Mann. „Ja, also gut, aber beeil dich!“
Oh nein, oh nein, oh nein. Genau das ist passiert, was ich befürchtet habe -- Eneas ist $irgendwo. Ou mann aberauch.
Die Jahrzehntelssekunden verstreichen.
Ganz.
Lang.
Sam.
Aus der Dunkelheit vernehme ich Ivan’s heiseres Husten. „Thank you my friend, thank you very much!“ „Ja, gerne. Jetzt muss ich aber *wirklich* los! Machs ganz gut Ivan!“
Beim Backstage vom Dance Temple. Eneas ist nirgendwo zu sehen. Auch keine Lex. Securities bewachen den Eingang. Eine Künstlerin kommt raus. „Hey, weisst du wo Lex ist?“ „Nein. Ich kenne sie vermutlich nicht.“ „Sie hat so schwarze Federn um den Kopf gebunden und hält bald -- ah, hier kommt sie ja.“ UFF. Und wenige Augenblicke später taucht auch Eneas auf. UFF⁹⁹⁹⁹. „ENEAS. We almost got separated!“ „Ich weiss, ich weiss.“ sagt er mit besorgtem Blick und es tut ihm schrecklich Leid. Uffseufz. Wir haben es doch noch geschafft. „Gib mir deine Kamera, dann filme ich die Abschlussrede meiner Mom von hinter der Bühne.“ Ist gut. „Ich weiss wie das funktioniert“ sagt er, als ich ihm alles eingestellt habe. „Prima! Dann treffen wir uns wieder hier, nach der Abschlussrede.“ „Jawohl.“ „Gut!“
Ich dränge mich durch die Menge. Die Musik ist noch in vollem Gange. Das letzte Lied. Danach sehe ich Lex sich bereit machen, und ein blondes Haarbüschel stellt meine Kamera hinter der Bühne auf. Das ist der Abschluss.
„Wir haben gesagt: Geht, wenn ihr gehen müsst, und bleibt, wenn ihr bleiben wollt. Und es ist bald Zeit zu gehen. Doch nun: Seid hier, seid jetzt. Wir sagen Danke an alle Künstler, das Personal und all die freiwilligen Helfer, für alles, was sie getan haben.
Aber wir danken auch euch, liebe Boomer. 154 Länder, aus allen Richtungen und Winkeln der Welt. Ihr seid Boom!
Wir möchten den Schamanen danken. Die Weisheitsbewahrer. Dass sie uns daran erinnerten, das wir Eins sind auf diesem wunderschönen Planeten. Dass sie ihren Segen mit uns geteilt haben. Dass sie auf die Bühne gekommen sind -- und mit uns zu Psytrance getanzt haben. Mit uns -- im Tanztempel!
Wenn die Musik aufhört -- ist das das Ende?
Boom hört niemals auf. Boom ist wie ein Herzschlag, der niemals aufhört.
Ich will, dass ihr die Musik, die Verbindungen, das Lächeln, die Synchronizität mit nach Hause bringt! Ich will, dass ihr die Liebe mit nach Hause bringt. Denn wir sind Liebe!“
Und die Menge stimmt sogleich ein: „Wir sind Liebe! Wir sind Liebe! Wir sind Liebe!“
„Danke, dass ihr Teil des Booms 2016 wart. Wir freuen uns auf euch im Boom 2018!“
Die Überraschungsband fängt an zu spielen. Ich wühle mich schleunigst zurück zum Eingang des Backstage, wo Eneas auch schon mit Kamera und Stativ auf mich wartet. Hach -- es hat tatsächlich geklappt! „Alright. So this is the end?“ „Yeah.“ „Bye Eneas!“ Wir umarmen uns. „Thank you for being my friend and companion throughout this festival.“ Er lächelt mich an. „Sehen wir uns in zwei Jahren wieder?“ „Yea!“ antwortet er freudig mit seiner hellen Stimme und verschwindet im Backstage-Bereich des Tanztempels.
