Enterprise-Softwarepäpste haben immer-wiederkehrende Muster in dieser Komplexität erkannt und ihnen Namen gegeben: Patterns. Entwurfsmuster. So denkt jeder gleich über ein Problem nach, alle haben ein Fachsprech, das Uneingeweihte nicht verstehen.
Bis auf Prahlerei, die die Bachelorstudis ablassen, wenn sie diese Patterns runterbeten können, hat das wenig dazu beigetragen, dass ein Programm simpel und verständlich ist.

Eine schockierende Studie hat neulich herausgefunden, dass nur 13% der Professoren an der Stanford Universität Republikaner sind. Die Autoren vergleichen das mit den 51% der Wahl von 2004, wo die Wähler einen Republikaner als Präsidenten gewählt hatten und verargumentieren dies als „Beweis für die Diskriminierung“ und dass „akademische Republikaner von akademischen Demokraten ausgerottet werden“.

So beängstigend das auch ist, meine vorausgehende Recherche hat noch mehr schockierende Fakten zu Tage gebracht. Ich habe festgestellt, dass nur 1% der Stanford-Professoren an Telepathie glauben (definiert als „Kommunikation zwischen Menschen ohne die gewöhnlichen fünf Sinne“), im Vergleich zu 36% der Allgemeinbevölkerung. Weniger als ein halbes Prozent glauben, dass „Menschen auf der Erde vom Teufel besessen sind“, im Vergleich zu 49% der Bevölkerung ausserhalb des Elfenbeinturms. Und während 25% der Amerikaner an Astrologie glauben („Einfluss der Position der Sterne und Planeten auf das Leben der Menschen“), konnte ich nur einen Stanford-Professor finden, der dem zustimmen würde. (Alle Zahlen stammen von Meinungsumfragen, von Sokal durchgeführt.)

Dieser haarsträubende Mangel an intellektueller Vielfalt ist eine ernsthafte Bedrohung für unsere Jugend, welche stillschweigend der Propaganda von Anti-Astrologen unterworfen ist, statt mit unterschiedlichen Betrachtungsweisen konfrontiert zu werden. Würde ich aufdecken, dass keine Schwarzen an der Stanford Fakultät unterrichten, wäre die politisch korrekte Fraktion sofort Sturm gelaufen. Aber die haben kein Problem damit, zukünftige Fakultätsmitglieder auszuschliessen, deren Ansichten sie nicht teilen.

Sicher, mag man sagen, ist die Hautfarbe für die Pflichten eines Professors irrelevant, während Glaubenssätze der Kern derer Arbeit ist. Und diesen Kritikern kann man nur entgegnen: Ihr „Wissens“-Elitisten habt die vernichtende Kritik über Faktenwissen der Postmodernisten ignoriert! Die objektive Realität ist unkennbar, unsere Glaubenssätze sind maximal Teilwahrheiten; kulturelle Launen, die wir im Augenblick nicht ändern können. Die einzige Art und Möglichkeit, zu entscheiden, was gelehrt wird, ist anhand von dem, was geglaubt wird!

Aber diese linksaussen-Akademiker ignorieren diese vernichtenden Kritiken einfach. Sie machen einfach weiter und sagen, ihr Job ist es, die „Realität“ zu untersuchen, und sie glauben Dinge, die auf Beweisen basieren, wogegen jeder sehen kann, dass diese Beweise doch nur Rechtfertigungen für sie selber sind, damit sie ihre Macht und ihren gesellschaftlichen Status erhalten können. Und, wie schon mehrfach belegt, ihre fortgeschrittenen „Berufungskommissionen“ und „Anforderung an die Rekrutierung“ sind bloss Wege, zu verhindern, dass Nonkonformisten ihre Orthodoxien in Frage stellen.

Die Partei von McCarthy muss die akademische Freiheit retten. Wohlhabende Geschäftsmänner müssen ihre Mittel bündeln, um diesem Elitismus entgegenzuwirken. Rassisten und Sexisten müssen den Wert der Vielfalt bekannt machen. Konservative die Postmoderne annehmen. Harte Arbeit? Keine Frage. Aber sie sind mutig dazu bereit, ihre Glaubwürdigkeit dem Schutz und Erhalt der Jugend zu opfern. Wir sollten ihren Mut begrüssen und ehren.

„Rammstei! Rammstei! Rammstei!“ ruft die Menge. 20:58 Uhr. Noch zwei Minuten bis zum Konzertstart. Wir können es kaum erwarten. Ich hatte mit Regen gerechnet, doch die Sonne bescheint friedlich das Gelände. 21 Uhr und ein paar Minuten – an den Seitenleinwänden fängt ein Countdown an, von 60 rückwärts zu zählen. Endlich!
Ein Vorhang mit einem grossen Ziffernblatt verdeckt die Bühne. Die letzten zehn Sekunden werden mit Scheinwerfern auf dem Ziffernblatt dargestellt. „Zehn, neun, acht, sieben, sechs, fünf, vier, drei, zwei, eins, nuuulll!“

Hinter der Bühne schiessen Rauchfeuerwerke in die Luft. Sie erheben sich zu riesigen Rauchsäulen. Mystische Gitarrenklänge durchweben die Luft. Die Rauchsäulen formen sich zu einem riesigen Wolke über der Bühne. Dunkler, rosaroter, dicker Rauch. Wie ein UFO schwebt die Wolke gespenstisch direkt über die Zuschauer weiter nach hinten. Phänomenal!
