„Unser Planet in unserem Sonnensystem“ lautet die Überschrift in einem Sachbuch, welches ich mal zu Weihnachten geschenkt bekommen habe. Die Erde. Die Sonne. Die Milchstrasse. Alles ist dort erklärt. Welche Gase und Metalle in welcher Menge auf welchen Planeten vorkommen. Das Klima. Ebbe und Flut.
Doch, warum ist das alles so, wie es ist? Wie ist es dazu gekommen? Die Universe Sandbox lädt zum spielen ein; das Universum als riesiger Sandkasten, mit allen physikalischen Details simuliert.
Setzen wir doch mal eine zweite Sonne in unser Sonnensystem.
Abgesehen von den zwei Schatten, die ich jetzt werfen würde, lenkt die zweite Sonne die Erste aus ihrer Bahn.
Venus und Merkur ändern schlagartig ihre Richtung, als sie sehen, wie die beiden Sonnen wie zwei verliebte Schmetterlinge durch den Weltraum tanzen und ein bezauberndes Tischkantennähmuster hinterlassen.
Summmmmwummmmm. Da schleudern sie um sich, und noch mal und noch mal. Jäjä, macht nur weiter… Bis eines weint. Der Merkur kommt neugierig näher und schlängelt sich durch die beiden hindurch. Aber nicht mehr lange. Zack – da sind sie schon aus dem Rhythmus gekommen und verglühen in einer Supernova.
Das empfindliche Klimasystem der Erde
Was wäre, wenn die Erde ein bisschen näher um die Sonne kreisen würde? Ich setze eine Sonne ins Zentrum und lasse die Erde in einem kleinen Orbit darum kreisen. 15°C Oberflächentemperatur. 20°C. 35°. 70°. Die Temperatur steigt und steigt. 100°C. Jetzt müssten langsam die Meere kochen. 135°C. Die Flächen am Äquator sind schon ganz schwarz verbrannt. Die Meere trocknen aus.
Mir blutet das Herz. Was tue ich unserer Erde an?
Die Meere sind vertrocknet. Ich kann gar nicht hinsehen, es tut mir so leid! Was habe ich getan?
Schnell, Wasser, Kühlung! In Massen schleudere ich das kostbare Nass auf die Erde.
Wie ein Giesskännli ergiesst sich der Wasserstrahl auf die Kontinente. Doch es passiert nichts. Bei 198°C Oberflächentemperatur ist das bestimmt schon verdampft, bevor es überhaupt den Boden berührt. Die Menge erhöhen. Hundert Partikel pro Sekunde mit fünfzig Kilometern pro Sekunde. Ich giesse und giesse und erhöhe die Masse auf zehn Monde pro Partikel; verzweifelt, die Erde zu retten.

Jetzt fängt die Erde an, Sonneneruptionen auszuschleudern. Na super…
Vielleicht kann ich das zuviel an Sauerstoff mit Kohlendioxid ausgleichen. Die flüssige Oberfläche der Sonnenerde wird fester und fester. Sie bewegt sich nicht mehr.
Landet überhaupt noch Material auf der Erde? Ich giesse Eisen nach. Richtig viel Eisen. Eiseneiseneisen.
Dann bemerke ich ein Glitzern über und unter der Erde. Ich verkleinere die Ansicht…
Was ist das? Eine Mini-Supernova? Überschüssige Energie?
Interessant. Lass uns noch etwas mehr Eisen giessen, vielleicht explodiert das ja einisch? Eisen, Eisen, Eisen. Fünfhundert Kilometer pro Sekunde in Massen von fünfzig Sonnen pro Partikel. Eisen, Eisen, Eisenbahn. Ein heisses Eisen. Eisenkraut, Wildeisen. Bis alles vereist ist.
*SCHOCK* – schlagartig werde ich aus meinen Träumereien über Eisen gerissen, als ich die Ansicht nochmals verkleinere.
Die Sonne rast mit riesiger Geschwindigkeit auf die Erde zu. Die Erde ist so schwer geworden, dass sie die Sonne anzieht.

Conclusio
Wie filigran doch alles ist. Das Sonnensystem, die Planeten auf ihrer Umlaufbahn, die Erde selbst. Schon die kleinste Manipulation endet in einem Desaster. Kein einziges Mal habe ich es fertiggebracht, irgend eine Verbesserung durch mein tun und handeln zu erwirken. Ich, der kleine Mensch, der nie das grosse Ganze sieht und niemals sehen kann und noch weniger versteht.
Wie zauberhaft und geordnet alles ist. Die Position der Planeten auf ihrer Umlaufbahn. Die Sterne. Der Abstand der Sonne. Jahrmilliarden haben sich Gase und Metalle zu Planeten verdichtet. Die Sonne wärmt die Erde; Wasser, Kohlendioxyd und Sauerstoff sind in den richtigen Mengen vorhanden, so dass Korn spriesst, Fische leben und Tomaten wachsen. Dass sich eine Lebensform wie der Mensch mit seinen Sinnesorganen gebildet hat. In all den Jahren, in denen die Planeten kreisen, ist es hier und jetzt möglich, dass ich in eine Thon-Pizza beisse und mit meinen Sinnesorganen deren Geschmack wahrnehme und geniessen kann. Aus der ganzen Evolution der Weizen, Fische und Tomaten. Und des menschlichen Körpers und seinen Sinnesorganen, der das ganze wahrnehmen und erleben kann. Das alles auf dieser einsamen, im Weltraum schwebenden, rotierenden Kugel. Ist es wirklich Zufall, dass sich intelligentes Leben entwickelt hat, oder steckt da ein Plan, eine Absicht dahinter? Ich meine, bei *der* Präzision und dem Zusammenspiel von all den Gasen, Metallen, Planeten, Pflanzen, Tieren, Lebewesen, die der Architekt des Universums bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt hin orchestriert hat – davor kann ich eigentlich nur in Ehrfurcht erstaunen. Sowas entsteht doch nicht zufällig oder aus Versehen…
Hingegen – wenn es eine Absicht war, würde das bedeuten, dass bewusst daran gearbeitet wurde, so etwas wie die Erde zu schaffen. Das würde sie ziemlich einzigartig im gesamten Universum machen. Hier wurde bewusste Gedankenkraft eingesetzt, um alles aufeinander abzustimmen und anzugleichen. Die richtige Menge Sauerstoff. Die richtige Menge Kohlendioxid. Die richtige Temperatur. Wie viele Planeten gibt es? Wie viele Sterne? Gut, es gibt unendlich viele. So groooooss wie alles ist, es kann gar nicht anders sein. Trotzdem:
Tragen wir Sorge zur Erde. So kostbar. So einzigartig. So filigran.
