Die Fortsetzung des genialen Vortrags From Computation to Consciousness vom letzten Jahr. Es geht um Denkviren, Religion, der Frage nach Gott, Evolution und der funktionsweise des Gehirns. Können wir herausfinden, dass wir uns in einer Simulation befinden? Können wir die Wahrheit herausfinden?
Gehirne können die Wahrheit nicht kennen. Aber sie können Bedeutung schaffen.
Die technischen Daten des Gehirns -- wir sehen in unserem gesamten Leben 2 TB. Das ist erstaunlich wenig -- achten wir also darauf, was wir sehen wollen.
Die Evolution des Selbstkonzepts. Sich selbst bewusst werden heisst, das Denken nachzukonstruieren.
Das Konzept von Gott
Der Gott vierter Ordnung in unserem Denkmodell ist der religiöse Gott: Institutionell, personalisiert, schreibt Normen vor (tu‘ das nicht, sei gehorsam), als Machtinstrument.
Der Gott dritter Ordnung ist losgelöst von Institutionen, ein Bewusstsein, dass sich möglicherweise um dich kümmert. Für mich klingt das nach dem Konzept des Schutzengels, aber der ist natürlich nicht Gott selbst.
Der Gott zweiter Ordnung als transzendentales Prinzip: Der Grund, warum etwas da ist und nicht nichts. Unerkennbar, unergründbar.
Der Gott erster Ordnung: Gott als Erste Ursache, als den ersten „Beweger“. Wenn es Veränderung im Universum gibt, dann muss es jemand verändern.
Gedankenviren arbeiten auf dem Gott der vierten Ordnung: Normen und Vorschriften, die einen statischen Zustand erschaffen und erhalten.

Da gibt es ein paar Glaubensattraktoren. Unser Weltbild stützt sich darauf. Von aussen betrachtet sind diese Attraktoren harmlos, doch wenn man sich drin befindet, erscheint es fast unmöglich, sie zu verlassen (=“wenn du nicht mehr an mich glaubst, kommst du in die Hölle!“); ein Verlassen scheint gefährlich.

Auch dieses Jahr formte sich eine Gruppe von Interessierten nach dem Vortrag im Gang, und wir gingen hoch zum Teehaus, um das alles auszudiskutieren. Drogen als Werkzeuge, um ‚über den Tellerrand‘ zu schauen; das Kundalini-Syndrom; Meditation; Quantenphysik; Bewusstsein; Energie; Ursache. Das sind Begriffe, die so während der Diskussion gefallen sind. Erstaunlich, wie nah sich die Wissenschaft jetzt der Mystik nähert, und wie viel Joscha, der Vortragsredner, herausgefunden hat. Ich bin beeindruckt.
„Ich bin momentan in meinem eigenen Glaubensattraktor gefangen, und es gefällt mir nicht so. Das hiesse nämlich, dass Aristoteles Recht hatte, dass es einen ‚Ersten Beweger‘ gibt.“ erläutert Joscha. „Die Beschreibung des Universums ist statisch, aber es wird berechnet, wir werden ausgeführt -- etwas führt uns aus!“, kommen wir zum Schluss.
