Der Gedanke kam mir heute beim Abwaschen. Ich dachte über mehrere Variationen eines Produkts in einem Webshop nach. Grösse, Farbe, Form. Klar, es können „unendlich viele“ Farben sein. Doch sind es wirklich unendlich viele? Ein Rot, das etwas röter wird.

Und noch etwas mehr. Mit dem Auge ist der Unterschied schon lange nicht mehr wahrnehmbar. Doch ich kann das Raster noch um so viel verfeinern, dass die elektromagnetische Welle, die das eine Rot generiert, um wenige Zeptrilliardstel Femtomikromillimeter kürzer ist als die, die das andere Rot generiert. Im Prinzip sind beide Wellen deckungsgleich, ausser dass sie auf tausend Lichtjahre um einen Millimeter verschoben sind.
Grosse Grössen, unvorstellbare Distanzen. Doch – es sind immer noch Grenzen und Raster da. Die Anzahl Wellen pro Zeiteinheit – das lässt sich messen. Auf einer Skala von sehr klein bis sehr gross. So gross. Riesig. Unvorstellbar verschwenderisch riesenhaft riesig. Sinnlos riesig. Aber unendlich?
Unendlich kann nur das Unsichtbare, nicht Manifestierte sein. Das hat alle Potentiale in sich, ist wirklich unendlich. Nicht messbar, nicht fühlbar, nicht wahrnehmbar, nicht zählbar. Unendlich.
Gott ist nicht unendlich. Denn das Wort „Gott“ bezeichnet etwas, worunter sich die Menschen etwas vorstellen. Etwas Sichtbares. Mächtiges. Doch es kann nicht sein. Sobald ich mit dem Finger auf Gott zeige und sage: „Das ist Gott“, dann ist es nicht Gott. Denn dann hätte man Gott definiert, bezeichnet und abgegrenzt.
Gott ist Unendlich.
Doch selbst dieser Satz dürfte gar nicht existieren, um Gott zu bezeichnen. Denn ich verwende Worte, Gedanken, Ideen, Regeln, Strukturen, Annäherungsversuche. Die Unendlichkeit lässt sich nicht beschreiben, niemand kann sie niemals erfahren, ausser dieser Niemand wird selbst zu nichts und unendlich und ist dann nichts mehr, was da ist, weil das Unendlich eben nicht sichtbar und begrenzt ist.
