Es lebe James Bond!

Casino Royale schafft was XXX wollte: „A New Breed Of Secret Agent“

Casino Royale, die Nummer 21 der Bond-Reihe war heute im Kino Capitol zu sehen und wer sass wohl auf dem Balkon, Reihe 2, Sitz 19? Richtig! Ich wars natürlich.

Wie einige wohl wissen, war ich im Vorfeld etwas skeptisch eingestellt dem neuen Bond gegenüber und vor allem dem neuen Hauptdarsteller Daniel Craig.

Nun aber die zeitliche Abfolge nicht vernachlässigen. Ich war also heute unterwegs zu Bond und freute mich auf meine erste CineCard-Night. Zuerst dann auch den offerierten Sekt geniessen und dann ab in den Saal.

Zum Film: Besser als ich befürchtete, aber trotzdem nicht perfekt. Bond ist zwar immer noch Brite, aber sonst hat sich einiges verändert. Er ist nun brutal, ziemlich böse, macht noch mehr zynische Witze und avanciert erst noch zum Hobbypsychologen.

Und sogar noch etwas neues: Während Brosnans Bond seinen Job vor allem mit Coolness erledigte, muss Craigs Bond doch tatsächlich arbeiten. Was der Arme alles herumrennen und herumspringen muss…

Die Story aber ist recht gut, ziemlich realistisch, vielleicht sogar etwas zu realistisch für meinen Geschmack, es fehlt das gewisse „World Domination“ – Etwas.

Aber die Action stimmt. Und wie. Die Anfangssequenz nach der Titelszene ist eine der besten Actionszenen seit langem und vermag es auch das Auge an den neuen Bond zu gewöhnen.

Auch später recht cool, vor allem die Pokerszene im titelgebenden Casino Royale könnte so etwas wie die Goldfinger – Golfszene der Neuzeit werden. Wie gesagt, das Ende zwar stimmig, aber nicht ganz überzeugend.

James Bond: Daniel Craig ist blond. Ich bin immer noch nicht drüber hinweg. Sonst macht er aber seine Sache gut. Er sieht zwar nicht wie Bond aus, dafür hört er sich wie Bond an und das tröstet doch über seine Mängel hinweg. Insgesamt hat er meine (zugegeben sehr tiefen) Erwartungen klar übertroffen.

Der Bad Guy : Cool, wirklich gut. Eiskalt und stets sehr beherrscht. Perfekt. Nur sein Ende ist etwas enttäuschend, da hätte eine so coole Figur einen besseren Abgang verdient.

Das Bondgirl: Hui, hui. Eva Green ist wirklich toll und hat definitiv ein Bild in diesem Blog verdient. Sie ist hübsch, cool, manchmal unglaublich süss und vor allem kann sie dem guten James in jeder Szene Paroli bieten. So kann sie in Sachen Coolness sogar Dr. „Ich kenn alle Witze“ Christmas Jones übertreffen. Besser gehts nicht.

Caterina Murino ist nett, aber nicht wirklich toll und Ivana Millicevic ist immer noch nicht hübscher, aber sie hat auch nur eine kleine Rolle.

Was kann man noch sagen? Mehr fällt mir im Moment nicht ein, ausser dass der Film ein absolutes Muss und sehr empfehlenswert ist.

Deshalb gibts von mir mit einem kleinen Abzug für Craig, kleinere Storyschwächen und eine meiner Meinung nach unnötige Szene immerhin gute
