Ein Jahr ist es her, seit dem Ich und Freidenker unsere Dev-Con beendet hatten. Vor kurzem habe ich das Scratchbook auf eine neue Domain gezügelt.

Und heute kommt die technische Umstellung: Scratchbook goes WordPress!

Scratchbook hat uns nun fast zwei Jahre lang begleitet. Es ist unsere Plattform für Meinungsaustausch, Erfahrungsberichte, Technologien und andere Abenteuer. Ausserdem war es meine Spielwiese für PHP Experimente. Mittlerweile habe ich aber dazugelernt, meine Erfahrung stieg und – der Code auf dem Scratchbook blieb der alte. Scratchbook soll auf der Höhe der Zeit bleiben. Das Beste wäre, mit einem klaren Konzept alles komplett neu zu machen. Allerdings fehlt mir (besonders jetzt im 4. Lehrjahr) die Zeit dazu.

Ich habe mich ein wenig umgeschaut, was es so an Weblog-Software gibt. WordPress hat mit immer gefallen. Es ist schlicht, und hält sich an W3C-Standards. Ich habe es probeweise installiert, und je länger ich mich damit beschäftigte, desto mehr gefiel es mir. Es stimmt schon, eigentlich wollte ich nie etwas vorgefertigtes einsetzen. Aber WordPress lässt sich gut anpassen und entspricht all meinen Anforderungen.

Der Kern wird also ausgewechselt. Alles komplett neu. Aber ich lasse es natürlich nicht zu, dass dasselbe mit dem Inhalt geschieht! DER lässt sich nämlich nicht auswechseln! Also habe ich mich an die Arbeit gemacht, sämtliche Beiträge, Kommentare, Bilder, Snapshots und Kategorien vom Scratchbook raus und WordPress-Konform wieder zu importieren. Wie immer gebe ich mich nicht mit wenig zufrieden, und das Resultat seht ihr hier: Sämtliche Autoren, Beiträge, Kommentare wurden mit Bildern und Textformatierung 1:1 übernommen.

Ihr habt Euch im Scratchbook mit user@host.com und passwort eingeloggt? Ihr loggt Euch auch im WordPress mit user@host.com und passwort ein.

Die Snapshots kommen in eine neue Kategorie „Snapshots“ und werden wie normale Beiträge behandelt.

Allerdings müssen wir von folgenden Features Abschied nehmen:

• Ajax Spotlight-Suche
• Ajax Dictionary
• Messenger-Archiv
• PDF-Export
• PHP-Playground (uns somit auch Hashrace, Primzahlenrechner, Encrypter und Statusseiten)
• Glossar
• Autorenseite
• Linkboard
• Snapshots-Navigation

Tja… Man kann eben nicht alles haben. Schade um die geile Spotlight-Suche, die Snapshots-Navigation und das Glossar…

Aber – das ist neu:

• Ein WYSIWYG-Editor (ihr könnt jetzt Beiträge wie im Word editieren)
• Bilderupload unterstützt nun jpg, png und gif und reisst nicht alles in den Abgrund wenn man auf „Upload“ klickt 😉
• Unbegrenzt viele Bilder pro Beitrag
• Anzeige aller eingeloggten Autoren ohne die Seite neu zu laden
• Echtzeit-Messenger (PopUps erlauben!)
• Kommentieren mit einem wunderschönen *wooosh*-Effekt 😉
• Passwortgeschützte Beiträge
• Beiträge in mehreren Kategorien
• RSS-Feeds (mit Bildern!) von Beiträgen und Kommentaren
• uvm.

Der Hauptfokus liegt jetzt vor allem bei den Beiträgen selber. Der Editor rockt einfach! Probiert ihn doch gleich aus und schreibt was schönes!

Ach ja: Die URL heisst jetzt einfach http://www.longneck.ch, ihr werdet dann schon automatisch weitergeleitet. Ich habe beim alten Scratchbook die Datenbank auf Readonly gesetzt, und es kann hier noch bewundert werden: http://www.longneck.ch/scratchbook
