Heute Morgen: Browser öffnen, www.kabelsalat.li und – Error: Connection refused. Toll – und ich sitze hier im Geschäft und kann nichts dagegen unternehmen. Das ist verdammt unangenehm – man sitzt da, ständig mit den Gedanken im Hinterkopf, dass die Seite für niemanden erreichbar ist, vermutlich für den Rest des Tages. Und man hat keine Ahnung, was das Problem sein könnte. Hat sich der Server einfach so mal heruntergefahren? Hat sich etwa jemand unerlaubt Zugang verschafft? Das wäre der Albtraum. Vielleicht hat Hostorama den Server abgeschossen? Schnell ein Mail an den Support verfasst. Eine halbe Stunde später: Bitte geben Sie uns Ihre Login-Daten. Jajaa, aber natürlich gern. Also gut, dann kümmere ich mich eben selbst um das Problem, später.

Zuhause angekommen, versuchte ich es mit einem simplen Ping. Hmm, funktioniert wunderbar. Login per SSH – funzt auch! So, was läuft denn noch? Tor, Jabber – eigentlich alles. Nur httpd-Prozesse sehe ich keine. Aha, Apache hat sich verabschiedet. Warum? Beim durchschauen des Logfiles sehe ich warum:

Juhui, kein freier Speicher mehr verfügbar. Vermutlich hat TOR alles für sich beansprucht und so viele Verbindungen aufgebaut, dass für Apache keinen Platz mehr da war – und tschüss! Also von RAM-Limiten war nie die Rede… Das werde ich nun aber gleich klären.
