Also ich weiss ja nicht wie lange das schon öffentlich ist, aber heute habe ich etwas geniales bei Google entdeckt: Google Suggest! Da wird doch glatt ein Auswahlmenü mit Suchvorschlägen eingeblendet, und zwar während dem Tippen! Die gesamte Google-Datenbank wird einfach so mehrmals durchsucht! Unglaublich. Wie Spotlight!

Die Technik, die dahinter steckt, ist relativ neu, nennt sich „AJAX“ – Asynchronous Javascript and XML, steht für ein Konzept, um Daten zwischen einem Server und dem Browser auszutauschen, ohne dass die Seite mit jeder Anfrage komplett neu geladen werden muss. [Link]
