Gerade eben flatterte eine Warnung von Meteoschweiz rein; bis Mittwoch könnte es viel und heftig regnen:

Im Süden sowie in den Alpen fällt bis

am Dienstagabend viel Regen, zum Teil
gegen 90 Liter pro Quadratmeter!

WETTERLAGE:
Eine Tiefdruckrinne erstreckt sich von Spanien
über den Alpenraum bis nach Skandinavien. Darin
wird mit einer Südwestströmung zunächst noch
milde, aber sehr feuchte Luft vom Mittelmeer in
die Schweiz geführt. Der Zustrom an feuchten
Luftmassen bleibt mit einem Tief, das von den
Balearen über Norditalien nach Rumänien zieht, bis
am Mittwoch bestehen. Einerseits kommt es an den
Alpen zuerst im Süden, am Mittwoch dann auch im
Norden zu einer Stausituation, andererseits bringt
eine äusserst instabil geschichtete Atmosphäre
weitere Hebungsvorgänge und somit neue
Niederschläge hervor.

PROGNOSE UND BETROFFENE GEBIETE:

Im Süden und in den Alpen muss in den kommenden 36
Stunden mit viel Regen gerechnet werden, der
stellenweise kräftig und von Gewittern begleitet
sein kann. Am meisten Regen berechnen die
Wettermodelle mit bis zu 90 Litern pro
Quadratmeter für das Maggia- und Verzascatal im
Tessin. Im Misox und in der Leventina dürften bis
am Dienstagabend rund 80 Liter pro Quadratmeter,
im Sopraceneri, Sottoceneri und im Simplongebiet
gesamt 60 Liter Regen pro Quadratmeter und im
östlichen Berner Oberland sowie im Urnerland bis
zu 50 Liter Regen pro Quadratmeter zusammen
kommen. Die Schneefallgrenze liegt zunächst bei
etwa 2000 Metern, sinkt aber bis am Dienstagabend
bis gegen 1700 Meter herab.

GEFAHREN:

Bei kräftigem Regen kann es auf den Strassen zu
Sichtbehinderungen kommen, zudem besteht bei viel
Wasser auf der Fahrbahn die Gefahr von
Aquaplaning. Im Gebirge sind an Steilhängen je
nach Geologie und Bodenbedeckung kleinere
Erdrutsche möglich.
Weitere Entwicklung:
Am Mittwoch fällt vor allem auf der Alpennordseite
immer wieder Regen, die Schneefallgrenze sinkt
aber bei einer spürbaren Abkühlung bis auf 1200,
stellenweise sogar auf 1000 Meter herab. Im Süden
lässt der Niederschlag tagsüber nach, gegen Abend
lockern die Wolken mit einsetzendem Nordföhn auf.
