Claude, wir kommen nicht mehr ins Internet. Hilfe, es funktioniert nicht mehr!

Unsere Nachbarn haben sich vor einiger Zeit ein nigelnagelneues HP-Notebook zugelegt – mit Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2. Ihr könnt euch ja denken welcher Albtraum mich erwartete…

Ich überprüfte zuerst die Internetverbindung. Hmmm, scheint alles OK, der IE (was sonst?!!!) zeigt die Googleseite an. Doch bei weiterem Nachfragen stellte sich heraus, dass nicht das Browsen im Internet das Problem sei, sondern der MSN-Dienst, der nicht mehr funktioniert. „Der Service steht momentan nicht zur Verfügung…“ tatüü tataa, das übliche Microsoft-Geschwafel…
Da die ganze Familie nur eine E-Mail Adresse hat und überdies auch noch bei MSN, fällt natürlich das E-Mail aus. Lustig war auch, dass jedes Familienmitglied inkl. 5 jährigem Sohn ein eigenes Konto besitzt – ohne Passwortschutz und natürlich mit Adminrechten!

Virenscan – erfolglos.
Windowsupdate – Seite konnte nicht angezeigt werden.
AdAware – 40 Objekte, Problem besteht jedoch weiterhin. Wir beschlossen, einfach mal abzuwarten. Notfalls könne man das System ja immer noch neu installieren – wie so oft.

Schlussendlich wollte man mich sogar dafür bezahlen. Dafür bezahlen, dass ich das Problem nicht gelöst habe – ich fühle mich richtig assozial!

Da kommt so ein Informatiker daher, sitzt einen Nachmittag hin – aber das Problem ist danach immer noch nicht gelöst. So verdient sich Microsoft also ihr Geld… FUCK MANN!!!
Es ist überall das selbe Spiel: Alle schreien Hilfe, und diejenigen, die etwas davon verstehen, müssen dann secklen…
Vielleicht schafft das hier in Zukunft Abhilfe:

Das einzig Positive daran: Je mehr Windows bockt, desto wahrscheinlicher ist ein Umstieg auf Apple. Jetzt muss ich heftig Werbung machen, und wer weiss: vielleicht steht ja bald einmal ein PowerBook auf ihrem Schreibtisch!

Mich hat dieser Nachmittag gefreut – in dem Sinn, dass ich nicht mehr mit solchem Grümpel arbeiten muss. Danke Apple!
