Technologie macht die Menschen dumm. Die Leute wissen gar nicht mehr, wie das Zeug funktioniert.
Sie geben auf dem Internet Google «facebook» ein und klicken auf das erste Resultat.
Sie wissen nicht mehr, wo’s lang geht, wenn Google Maps auf dem iPhone nicht mehr funktioniert. Gerade erlebt; Zitat:

Ich habe 8-jährige mit einem iPhone und Facebook gesehen. Sie wissen gar nicht mehr, wie die Welt ohne funktioniert.
Die Maschinen machen uns das Leben nicht leichter. Ursprünglich einmal dazu gedacht, uns die Arbeit abzunehmen, damit wir mehr Zeit zum leben hätten. Stattdessen geifern die Manager:

Ok, ich geb’s ja zu, ich starte auch ein Terminal mit einer Python-Shell, wo ich dann 7 + 5 eintippe, um mir das berechnen zu lassen. Ich mag kein Mathe. Aber das meine ich nicht mit Denkfaul.
Wir nehmen uns nicht mehr die Zeit, überhaupt nachzudenken: Was tun wir eigentlich? Warum tun wir das? Was wollen wir eigentlich? Ist das ethisch gut? Ist das menschlich? Ist der Mensch dazu bestimmt?
Es hängt zu viel am Netz. Was passiert, wenn man das Internet abschaltet?
Ich habe noch einen Atlas zuhause. Meine Telefonnummern auf Papier ausgedruckt. Eine Blu-Ray Disc mit all meinen Git-Repositories, kryptographisch gesichert. … …
Aber der Rest der Welt? Soweit ich weiss, gibt es kein Gesetz, das die dauerhafte und unabhängige Kommunikation sicherstellt. Sowas wie ein Menschenrecht auf Internet. Und das ist gefährlich. Die Regierungen können da beliebig eingreifen, filtern, zensieren, abschalten, löschen. In einem Netz, wo Informationen über Leben und Tod entscheiden. Ein Netz, das Menschen helfen kann, sich zu informieren. Ein Netz, an dem lebenserhaltende Systeme hängen. Nicht gut.
Wir sind zu stark abhängig.
