Heute ist mein Lieblingstag. Das Thema ist Expanded Consciousness. Die Liminal Village ist der Ort, wo Workshops und vor allem Vorträge stattfinden. Glücklicherweise befindet sich dieses grosse Zelt am nächsten zum Zeltplatz, so dass ich mit meinen angeschlagenen Füssen nicht weit laufen muss. Ausgerüstet mit Notizbuch, Fotokamera und MP3-Recorder setze ich mich hin. Noch sind nicht viele Leute da; viele kommen auch hierher wegen des Schattens, und um sich auszuruhen. Der erste Vortrag heisst „Contemporary Alchemy: A Jungian Perspective“.

Constança Bettencourt erzählt über die Beziehung von Carl Gustav Jung und Sigmund Freud, die Geschichte, wie das alles entstanden ist. Freud und C.G. Jung waren gute Freunde, und Freud hat Jung viel gelehrt, jedoch war Jung nicht mit allem einverstanden, was Freud gelehrt hat. Er entschied, sich von Freud zu trennen, damit er seine eigenen Theorien weiterverfolgen kann. Diese Trennung hat ihn in eine tiefe Depression geworfen.

Und jetzt zum mitschreiben:

Depression is an Initiation. It has nothing to do with that what we medicate.
Depression is not a bad sign. It is a beginning.

Woah. Ein zartschmelzender Regenbogen ergiesst sich über meinem Kopf und fliesst den Rücken hinunter. Was für eine Erkenntnis! Depression ist eine Initiation. Ich sauge diese Worte auf wie ein Schwamm. Besonders nach dem gestrigen Tag. Und nicht zuletzt auch aufgrund meiner Geschichte; dass ich in den letzten zwei Jahren viel mit Initiation zu tun hatte. Und plötzlich ergibt der gestrige Tag einen Sinn. Danke, lieber Vortrag. Du bist toll!

Ich liebe solche Erkenntnisse. Wenn ich durch etwas durchgehe, es fühlt sich scheisse an, ich verstehe es nicht. Und einige Zeit später folgt die Erklärung und man versteht die Bedeutung.

The journey starts with chaos, with shit.

Humans have experiences which can only be expressed in symbols and imagery.

The symbol (dream) is a message that hasn’t started yet.

We always only see half of the symbol. The other half is our personal experience with it.

Weiter geht’s mit Archetypen. Viele verschiedene Menschen mit unterschiedlichen Charaktereigenschaften lassen sich zu wenigen Archetypen zusammenfassen; Grundmuster der menschlichen Psyche, Vorstellung, Charaktereigenschaft. „Mutter“ ist ein Archetyp. Fürsorglich, erziehend. Wir alle haben unsere eigene Vorstellung von diesem Archetypen, aber den puren, eigentlichen Archetyp Mutter kennt niemand, weil jeder seine eigene Interpretation und Erfahrung dazumischt. „Krieger“ und „Mentor“ sind weitere Archetypen.

Und. Jetzt. Kommts. : „Held“ ist auch ein Archetyp.

The archetype „hero“. For instance, take Neo from The Matrix, or the Jedi from Star Wars; we already know through what these personalities are going through. We already know their story. Because of their archetype.

Der Teppich fühlt sich weich an unter meinem Kinn. Vielleicht sollte ich meinen Mund wieder schliessen und den Kinnladen wieder hochheben. Das ist jetzt zu krass. Der Typ gestern hat schon The Matrix und Star Wars erwähnt. Und die Heldenreise. Und jetzt gleich nochmal, voneinander völlig unabhängig! Du führst mich ja mal wieder hervorragend durch die Illusion des Zufalls, liebe innere Führung!

Nächste Folie. Die Gegenüberstellung der traditionellen Religion zur alternativen (alten) Tradition.

Jemand macht eine Erfahrung (nennen wir ihn Jesus? :)) und schreibt diese Erfahrung auf. Alle sagen: „Ooh, grosser Mann, er hat vieles bewirkt. Seine Schriften sind heilig.“ Sie erstellen daraus ein Regelwerk, ein Dogma; dass sich an diesen heiligen Schriften (den Erfahrungen dieses einen Menschen) orientiert. Und so wie dieser Heilige muss jeder leben, sonst kommt er in die Hölle. Punkt.

Uncool.

Gegenüber dem steht die alte Tradition: Es existieren überlieferte Mythen. Mysterien. Verschlüsselte Geheimnisse. Aus diesen Mythen erstellen wir ein Ritual, an dem jeder Teilnehmen kann. Dieses Ritual bewirkt etwas in jedem Teilnehmer. Etwas ganz Individuelles. Man lernt sich selbst besser kennen und macht seine eigene Erfahrung. Man hat eine Erkenntnis. Und diese schreibt man auf. Dann geht’s wieder zu Schritt 1, immer weiter, immer zyklisch.

Hammer.

Mit Alchemie ist nicht die physische Umwandlung von Eisen nach Gold gemeint, sondern die innere, psychologische Alchemie. Sie umfasst sehr viele Themen. Wäre ich jetzt nicht schon auf einem Pfad, meinem Weg, würde ich mir die Alchemie genauer anschauen: Chemie, Metallurgie, Mathematik, Astrologie, Mythologie, magische Rituale, Religion, Gnostizismus, christlicher Glaube, Symbologie, Träume, Meditation, Forschung.

Es gibt viele Wege. Alchemie ist einer davon. Empfehlung der Referentin: Sich mal das Red Book von C.G. Jung anschauen.

DMTRMX: Open Source Reality Hacking

Allein schon der Titel lässt mein Herz höher schlagen. Nicht zuletzt, weil ich den Begriff schon mal selber verwendet habe.

Mitch Schultz fragt sich, ob wir in nächster Zeit weiterführende psychedelische Forschung betreiben können. Wie bringt man den spirituellen Aspekt in die Akademien und kombiniert das mit der Wissenschaft? Ibogain wird untersucht, zu DMT gab es eine einmalige Forschung von Dr. Rick Strassman. LSD wird an der Uni Zürich in der Schweiz untersucht, allerdings schaut man dort nur, was es im Gehirn tut und untersucht nicht die Erfahrungen, die der „Patient“ dabei macht.

Gerade den spirituellen Aspekt. Das ist schwierig. Weil die Erfahrung ist nur individuell erfahrbar und nicht von aussen messbar.

Jetzt stellt er eine interessante Publikumsfrage:

How many people would relate to some sort of practice or spiritual path that they feel like they’re on?

Meine Hand schnellt nach oben. Und mit mir die Hände von ungefähr dreiviertel Leuten im Saal. Wow. ICH BIN JA GAR KEIN AUSSENSEITER! Hier ist es plötzlich cool, auf einem spirituellen Pfad zu sein. Wow. Ich bin auf dem Weg. Andere sind auch auf einem Weg. Und ich bin damit nicht allein. Wicked!

And how many people follow a certain tradition, that has been around for a long time?

Hier bin ich. Es tut gut, auch mal das zu erfahren. Ich bin nicht allein.

Weiter bespricht er, wie es ist, wenn man eine psychedelische Erfahrung macht. Wie kann man diese Erfahrung wieder zurückintegrieren in diese Welt; wie kann man mit der neuen Erkenntnis durch dieses Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum navigieren? Wie können wir psychedelische Erfahrungen verstehen und was ist unsere Beziehung zu ihnen?

How do we look at this in a legal structure? Especially in a legal structure that does not allow for an openness of counsciousness nowadays? They want us to be very particular, to be very focused ; they want us to consume, they want us to stay working.

Es geht viel um Sprache. Und vorallem: Wie die Sprache fehlschlägt. Selbst für Mystiker – wir haben heute noch Probleme, psychedelische Erfahrungen mit Sprache zu beschreiben und zu sagen, was Es ist.

We don’t have a language. We don’t have a language to describe and wrap around this.

Es geht um Sprachen, um Information, um Kommunikation. Wie beschreiben wir Dinge, wie geben wir Erfahrungen weiter? Er macht Umfragen, Vergleiche, zeigt Varianten auf. „How many of you are software programmers?“ Jepp! 🙂 Jetzt, wo er so fragt, fällt mir auf, das auch dies eine eigene Art von Sprache ist, die im Alltag wohl wenig nützlich ist; sich damit aber wunderbar Maschinen und Abläufe exakt beschreiben lassen. So etwas bräuchten wir für die Welt der psychedelischen Erfahrungen.

Mitch hat einen Versuch gewagt, und eine eigene Symbolsprache geschaffen. Kleine Grundsymbole sollen in abgeänderter Form immer wieder etwas neues darstellen. Er macht ein Experiment, in dem er einige Symbole zeigt, und das Publikum soll herausfinden, was es ist. Viele Interpretationen kommen da hoch 🙂

Plötzlich geht mir ein Licht auf: Es gibt so ein Sprachsystem! Es basiert ebenfalls auf Symbolen; und man muss deren Interpretation und Bedeutung sehr lange lernen. Ich habe mal darüber geschrieben: Tarot. Es tut genau das, was uns noch fehlt; nämlich höhere Wahrheiten und Erfahrungen, für denen uns die Sprache fehlt, in Symbolen vermitteln.

Oh mein Gott. An diesem Festival schliessen sich so viele Kreise, so viele Erkenntnisse blitzen auf. Einfach toll.

Das dickste kommt aber erst. Mitch Schultz spricht über den Hero’s Journey.

We’re all on a hero’s journey. Each one of us. We have something to bring to this world. What is in your heart you know you wanna go do? Follow that path. Follow that hero’s journey and start to reconnect with that.

Der Kreis schliesst sich. Der Tag gestern macht 100% Sinn. Das war alles beabsichtigt. Damit ich diese Botschaft heute voll in mich aufnehme.
