Heute ist ein historischer Tag. Denn heute flog ich zum ersten mal den SAT – schlichtweg DAS Flugmanöver, welches ich schon immer fliegen wollte! Es ist eine spiralförmige Rotation, wobei der Schirm vorwärts und der Pilot rückwärts fliegt…

Gestern befand sich die ganze Schweiz in einer Bisenlage. Das geht aber meistens schnell vorbei. So dachte ich mir das auch heute morgen im Bett. Also schnell IPCop einschalten, und die Wetterkarten studieren. Und tatsächlich: Windstill. Ein Anruf auf die Wetterstation Weissenstein bestätigt es: Heute werden wir fliegen!

Und wie wir geflogen sind – woooow! Am Anfang war thermisch noch nicht viel los, ich geriet einfach in eine Abwindzone, und wir mussten ein zweites mal mit der Seilbahn wieder hochfahren. Doch dann…

Mittag, so um 14:30 Uhr. Erste Wolken bilden sich. Yves fliegt voraus, ich hintennach. Heute habe ich wohl nicht so viel Glück mit der Thermik. Aber wir flogen Richtung Westen, auf die zweite Bergkette zu. Und plötzlich ging es dann auch hoch. Mmmh, schön früsch hier oben – kann mir gar nicht vorstellen, dass die da unten Sommer haben und schwitzen…
Also, ich habe mir so oft vorgenommen, einen SAT zu fliegen, wenn ich mal hoch oben bin. Nun ist es wieder soweit. Mann, das darf nicht Ewig dauern, irgendwann muss ich es versuchen.

Ich fing mit ein paar Steilspiralen an. Die Ausleitung muss sitzen. Also übte ich das ein paar mal. So, und wie war das nochmal mit dem SAT? An der Aussenseite das Gurtzeug nach aussen drücken, und innen ziehen? Es sieht schon etwas fremd aus, wenn der Schirm parallel mit dem Horizont ist. Einfach noch mehr ziehen, einfach durchziehen…? Es wäre so einfach… Aber das braucht Überwindung. Immer wieder tastete ich mich an den magischen Punkt heran.
Schliesslich schoss der Schirm parallel zum Horizont um mich herum, mit einem Geräusch, dass einer Kettensäge gleich kommt. Ich habe es fast schon geschafft…
Doch was hat mir der Pilot am Landeplatz letztes mal erzählt? Die Bremsleinen einfach zügig herunterziehen? Also, probieren wir mal… Einleiten… Und tagg! *Woooosh*! Zuerst sah ich den Boden – dann den Himmel – und dann wieder den Boden. Schliesslich kam der Schirm flatternd wieder über mir zum Stillstand. Hmmm, neee, das war kein SAT, das war wohl etwas zuviel des Guten – ich muss wohl einen Mac Twist geflogen sein! HUI! Glück gehabt, das hätte schief gehen können. Also, ich darf die Bremsleine nicht so schnell hinunterziehen! Versuchen wir’s nochmal, langsamer. Mit dem Schirmkippen habe ich ja jetzt „Erfahrung“…
Ich leite eine Steilspirale ein und ziehe die Bremsleine weiter langsam nach unten. Es zieht und zieht… Mann, nur noch ein bisschen mehr ziehen – doch ich kann nicht. Der Zug an der Bremsleine ist zu stark.

Dritter Versuch. Diesmal wickelte ich die Bremsleine einmal auf. Damit ich den entscheidenden letzten Ruck ziehen kann. Ok, starten wir mal…
Wieder eine Spirale… Doch jetzt ziehe ich an der gewickelten Bremsleine – und Wuupp! *R R RRRrrrrrrrrrrrr* Der Schirm fängt so komisch an zu Brummen, es ist praktisch Windstill, und es geht blitzschnell rundherum! WOOOOOHOOOO, ich bin in einem SAAAAT!

Und so übte ich weiter und weiter. Und es ging immer besser. SO ENDLOS GEIL!
SAT ist eigentlich kein Name für sowas. Er entstand sowieso aus dem Namen des Teams, das dieses Manöver erfunden hat; das Safety Acro Team.
Ich habe eine bessere Bezeichnung dafür: Rotationsorgasmus. So fühlt es sich jedenfalls an…
Es ist, also ob das Gurtzeug auf Schienen gelegt wird und der Schirm an einem Zahnrad rundherum fätzt. Soo geil!

Während ich so übte, und demonstrativ vor Yves‘ Nase heruntersattete, fing er auch an, und zwar mit Fullstalls… Kompletter Strömungsabriss. Der Schirm schoss ihm so weit vor, dass ihm alles einklappte, was einklappen kann. So ein halsbrecherischer Spinner das, eieiei…

Bin ja gespannt wie sich das so entwickelt. Gut dass ich noch keine Abschlussprüfungen vor mir habe. Ich kann momentan an nichts anderes mehr denken. Ich will nur noch eines: Meeehr SATs!
