Es ist wieder mal Zeit für einen Wandel. Zeit für etwas neues.

Die Mobiltechnologie hält überall Einzug. Wie wird das Wetter morgen? Was passierte gestern? Wann fährt mein Zug? Alles Infos, die per SMS angefordert werden können. Oder einfach Nachrichtenaustausch. Seit einiger Zeit auch mit Bildern.
Surfen wir mal im Internet, oder checken unsere E-Mails… vom Handy aus. Es gibt nichts, was man nicht mit diesem Ding erledigen könnte.

Mobile Technologie – ermöglicht Nachrichtenaustausch über weite Distanzen.

Heute wird diese Technologie in das Scratchbook integriert.

Schickt Eure Bilder per E-Mail direkt vom Natel aus an snapshots@scratchbook.ch
Sie sind sofort hier online. Das Ganze integriert sich nahtlos ins Weblog. Selbstverständlich können die Bilder auch kommentiert werden.

Möglich machen dies die IMAP-Funktionen von PHP. Die Ansteuerung ist allerdings nicht ganz leicht, da gibt es Plaintext Mails, Base64 Codierungen, Mails mit und ohne Anhang, Inline, Multipart-Mails…
Ich stosse langsam an meine Grenzen, wenn ich das alles abfangen müsste. Also beschränken wir uns auf ein Format:

Betreff, Text, ein Bild.
E-Mails dürfen nicht vom Typ „inline“ sein, aber das sollte bei den meisten Handys eigentlich richtig eingestellt sein.

Betreff und Text sind natürlich optional…
