Es gibt mehrere Gründe, warum die Ausbildung an der GIBM nicht den Anforderungen entsprechen, die in diesem Gebiet tatsächlich benötigt werden.

Beispiele:

– Die meisten Manuals, Fachliteratur etc. sind in Englisch verfasst. Wir (Informatiker Fachrichtung Systemtechnik, 2. Lehrjahr) haben gerade mal eine Lektion pro Woche Englisch! Eine (1) Lektion!! Und wir sind immer noch bei „will-“ und „going to-“ Future. Dort waren wir doch schon in der Sekundarstufe…

– Dafür haben wir 3 (drei) Lektionen Turnen, was später sowieso niemand mehr braucht.

– Telematik ist ebenfalls nur mit einer Lektion vertreten. Selbst der Lehrer sagt, es sei viel zu wenig. Wisst ihr, wie komplex das Gebiet der Telematik ist?

– Dafür haben wir jeweils zwei Lektionen Java. Wir als Systemtechniker! Könnten wir nicht vielleicht mal was praktischeres machen, z.B. Server aufsetzen & betreuen, Shellscripts, PHP, Perl o.ä. was mehr unserem Fachgebiet entsprechen würde?

– Was haben Mathematik, Physik und Chemie in unserer Ausbildung zu suchen? (Ich habe in all den Jahren, die ich mit PCs arbeite, noch nie Mathematik anwenden müssen – nicht mal für die Programmierung dieses Weblogs!)

– ABU ist ok, aber warum gleich vier Lektionen? Eine, maximal zwei würden reichen.

– Gruppenarbeit, in der man gemeinsam sinnvolle, selbst gewählte (oder vorgesetzte) Projekte erarbeitet und pflegt, wäre wünschenswert.

Ich hoffe doch sehr, dass all die obigen Punkte mit der kommenden Modularisierung berücksichtigt werden. Wir haben halt das Pech, noch in der Mittelalterausbildung zu sein…
