Was ist ein Weblog?
Ein Weblog ist ein System, bei dem ein Autor seine Surftour, Gedanken zum Tag etc. veröffentlicht. Die Beiträge des Autors können durch die anderen Autoren kommentiert werden. Ende Jahr hat man einen schönen Überblick darüber, was so das ganze Jahr gelaufen ist. Sozusagen kann man ein Weblog auch mit einem Online-Tagebuch vergleichen.

Die Geschichte
Scratchbook ist von Anfang an handgestrickt. Es war eine Technologiespielwiese und ein Platz für PHP-Experimente. Mittlerweile ist es aber ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und ich habe es mit einem Konverter nach WordPress portiert.

Die ganze Geschichte, wie alles begann: Über das Tagebuchschreiben.

Jemand hat mal behauptet, WordPress Blogs seien Eintagswunder.
Dir werde ich’s zeigen! Wir haben viel Inhalt. Und Scratchbook ist auch ein Buch.

Philosophie
Dieses Weblog ist offen für alle. Es darf sich jeder registrieren und Beiträge schreiben*, und selbstverständlich auch andere Beiträge kommentieren, ähnlich wie in einem Forum. Doch Weblog ist nicht gleich Forum! Es geht primär darum, dem Besucher etwas zu bieten, etwas zum Lesen, Unterhaltung…

Hier dreht es sich um alles, was uns beschäftigt, erstaunt, wütend macht, aufheitert; um Erlebnisse, Technologien, Natur und Umwelt.

Weil Texte im Internet oft nach gewisser Zeit wieder verschwinden, fungiert das Scratchbook auch als Archiv. Interessante fremde Texte werden – schön aufbereitet – hier aufbewahrt.
