Führung am fast fertiggestellten Gotthard-Eisenbahntunnel. Interessant, wie jedes Unterfangen seine Hürde hat. Gegen Schluss der Tunnelbohrung trifft man auf die Piora-Mulde. Eine Gesteinsschicht aus flüssigem Schlamm; etwas, was man für einen stabilen Tunnel genau nicht braucht. Beinahe wurde das Projekt Gotthard durch das beerdigt.
Doch von der anderen Seite wurden Sondierbohrungen gemacht. Der Sondierstollen trifft auf das Schlammassel, die vielen grünen Linien sind Bohrproben aus verschiedenen Winkeln. Glücklicherweise geht diese Schlammschicht nicht bis ganz unten, es reicht gerade noch, um weiterzubohren.
Die Symbolik dahinter, der Gedanke, der mir dabei kam, ist: Alle Projekte haben doch eine oder mehrere Piora-Mulden. Irgend ein Arschloch-im-Wandschrank, dass zum ungünstigsten Zeitpunkt kurz vor Schluss noch aus dem Wäscheschrank hüpft und einem am Weitergehen hindert.
Und was macht man in dieser Situation? Das Problem von der anderen Seite angehen, Sondierbohrungen aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln durchführen. Zehn. Hundert. Tausende. Irgendwann trifft man auf die Gesteinsschicht, die ein weitergehen ermöglicht. Der Weg ist frei und der Tunnel ist gebohrt.
Dieses Projekt ist eins von denen, die die Zeit und das Budget eingehalten haben.
