Psychoseerfahrene Menschen, Angehörige, sowie Ärzte und Pfleger erzählen vor der Kamera von ihren Erfahrungen mit Psychopharmaka. Heilsam oder kränkend? Segen oder Fluch? Ein tragischer, bisher nicht gelöster Konflikt. Der Dokumentarfilm ist ein vielstimmiges Erzählen über Wirkungen und Risiken von Psychopharmaka
Psychopharmaka sind ein Riesenmarkt und ein Riesengeschäft. Doch was wissen wir über die Folgen jenseits von klinischer Forschung und Pharmaindustrie? Beziehungs- und Spracharmut bestimmen immer noch das Klima in psychiatrischen Institutionen. Das hat viele Gründe: Ein wichtiger sind die Psychopharmaka. Sie beruhigen, stellen aber auch seelisch still, insbesondere hoch dosiert.
In einem eigens für den Film geschaffenen Raum sind 20 psychiatrieerfahrene Menschen, Angehörige und Professionelle verabredet. Sie sprechen aus, was meist verschwiegen wird: die persönlichen Erfahrungen mit Psychopharmaka und das innere Erleben.
